hi
i just wanted to know who's the big boss here in d-addict??
you know , the one who grants permissions & allows members to upload their subtitles...
well my dilemma goes like this
I've recently decided to become a subber (did a couple of epi. of a new drama)
& because i don't know who might give me a permission to upload them ....
would you help me please & direct me towards him/her…
or better yet
give me her/his e-mail so I could write him/her my self
thanx a lot
I really appreciate it !

But frankly … this drama is "unusual" that's why I was seeking permission…
This drama is Turkish… & quit frankly it defies the concept of (d-addict: the Asian dramas forum)… |
Sorry, but I don't think we would allow this upload.
We had this question about uploading non-asian dramas come up a couple years ago (I forget which country it was from , but I think it was Eastern European). After much discussion, we decided to limit uploads to asian dramas and television (mostly because we didn't want to spread ourselves so thin as to lose the focus of this site).
Maybe somebody knows of a site similar to D-addicts that focuses on dramas from other countries?
In the meantime, I'll see if I can find that old thread where we discussed opening to other dramas.

Thus the ever-popular d-addict will become much more popular!
& instead of d-addict: the asian drama forum it shall be …d-addict: thee drama forum |
thanks for your suggestion, but it's not our intention to be the most popular or the best. the purpose of this site is just to spread the love of asian dramas to others around the world AND to provide a community in which they can discuss such dramas (among other things).
we hope you will find a site where this drama would be more appropriate._________________ Use THUMBS UP/DOWN buttons to KEEP or DELETE posts.

Just wondering lately, there were less kdrama posted. What is going on? There are several great dramas but not uploader. Instead there were sub. for the drama but not the drama file itself, ie, woman of the sun, east of eden, mixed lovers.......
For me, it's hard 'cause I don't have mega and so I can't dl any series from other recommended site. Would some1 nice enough to continue posting torrent files on new kdrama here at kaddict.
Thanks

| I was wondering if the subbers get paid to sub, like making subbing their main job, will we get the subtitle faster? How about setting up a fund at d-addicts for this? Sorry but it just a suggestion....

that would take what we subbers do from illegal....to uber highly penalized illegal ^_^
most fansubbers frown upon subbers who take money for the work they do...because its no longer fansubbing...its bootlegging.
we know people wished subbers would be faster. but as we have no desire to go to jail or pay heavy fines or whatnot...you will just have to put up with subbers going at their own pace out of the kindness of their hearts.

battlegirlai is spot on... unless of course you are the legal owner of the drama's copy right and want to hire fansubbers.
In which case that's still wouldn't get you what you want because
1) They would then be professional subbers not fansubbers.
2) Any legal company would be hiring subbers to release drama DVDs for MONEY and would sue so fast if the subs were posted on DA for free.
