Any Cambodian D-Addicts members?

I'm chinese/cambodian!!!, i don't kno any chinese tho can speak and understand a lil bit of cambodian, i have cousins who are like part laos/cambo/chinese as well as viet/cambo/chinese, we just all a mixture of different ethnic backgrounds Laugh

I love it how we are mixed. I don't noe any pure cambodian people only mixed ones.

Well, In the summer I went to Cambodia to visit my family members there. I could barely speak Khmer to them because I have that American accent. When I spoke to them, they said I speak khmer "undun undun" meaning like I speak fragmented khmer. Luckily they were my relatives. If it was a stranger....ooooooo they would have made fun of me or rip me off on things they were selling. Of course I didn't get ripped off. I had my cousin with to bargin and speak on my behave. I will be going again this winter.

im nothing but cambodian, its just that i was born in america. i can speak khmer very well too it was just how i was brought up. i guess.

I don't know any full cambodians either. My dad is cambodian and my mom is chinese and vietnamese. I consider myself all three because my dad will always teach me about the culture and how we should never forget about our culture no matter if your mix or your learning a different languages. For me, I don't know many khmer people in real life O_o I need to go out more and start hunting for khmer people Laugh

1. You own, have relative who owns, or know someone who owns a DONUT SHOP!!!
2. You have a life time job at a donut shop.
3. You still work at a donut shop on weekends even if you have a full time job outside.
4. You HATE Donuts!!
5. You live in Long Beach and/or you have relatives who live in Long Beach, or you go to Long Beach every weekend.
6. You can't live without steamed rice.
7. You're darker than all your other Asian friends.
8. You kick it with black people and other people think you're black too.
9. You hate the name Pol Pot.
10. The first cool thing you learned in America is how to break dance.
11. You hate it when people think Cambodians are the dirtiest Asians.
12. You own the old Toyota Cressida or an old Nissan Maxima.
13. You have a Laotian relative.
14. You are tired of Cambodian stereotypes, so you say that you are "Kampuchean" instead.

You think you are the king of gamblers but lose all your money like the other ones.
You gamble with no strategy in the casino like a chick with no head
People think you're Paki or Indu
You wonder why all other Asian ethnicities hate you
You are really embarrassed when some white folks ask you serious questions about Buddhism because you don't know anything about it
You think you only have to wear expensive clothes to have class
You try to use every word of the ebonic slang but you look ridiculous
You really think that the more gold you wear the more chicks you get
You called white men foreigner in their own country
You call all white people Frenchmen
You go to the temple because you think you'll meet good girls there but most of the girls who go there are bad girls who want to prove there family and community they are clean good girls
You don't even know that angkor wat was not a Buddhist temple at first
You claim to be Buddhist but don't know anything about it
Your favorite past time is talking behind the back of people even your own family
You show no respect to the country your living in
You think Buddha is sort a god that can make you win money at the lottery or casino
If you are proud to be a Cambodian, then you have to know how to eat Prahok and Somlo Machua Kruong...And you have to know how to drink Turk Thnok Chua and eat Sach Ko Ank...

IKhmeng Srey, 'm not sure where this is going...what's your point for posting this anyway? Are you angry about some donut shop or something because I love donuts, but I'm still a Cambodian Big Smile

And the comments you wrote beyond 16 sound like you have a grudge for someone...I don't think it's fair to generalize every Khmer that way just because you momentarily dislike that someone.
