Yeah i think it best to ask 1st
yeah, i went through to that link, i've tried!!!
but wen saving the file, it not .srt file anymore
if edited the original and save, wen reopen, o rubbish symbol appear.
some says just change english into viet it work, but not for me

OK OK....i think i figured it oUT!!!! cheers

i was like lets give this a try..so i did

OK...I just type viet in the "media subtiler" or watever you use.... and save it as SRT or sami...i dont think it matters....
After i save it as a sub file...i go back in and have to edit all the question marks(??) with the previous words or correct words with all the rite punctuations.... and voila....it WORKS....
i've been trying and trying.... my desktop is full of Magician of love.. srt or sami... and all these things i've been trying to do with it...LOl
So i guess it'll be a lil tiring.... since we have to like rite it agan...or at least some of it... (mostly the ư, ơ, ô an stuff)

BUT im trying to see if theres a Faster way than that....
so im trying to see if we can do it in WORD first.... save it as word(for hardcopy) and plaintext
then convert that plaintext into a subtitle file which will still have ?? ?? in it...
and after we save the sub file... OPEN IT... and paste the correct sentence in it...but im not sure if it'll show it the rite way when we play it....

IF anyone has any better ideas!!! plz dont hesitate to post ur message!!!

I Hope u wont give up..... wE can DO IT!!! but we'll need a few more ppl to help translate and edit..i no everyone doesn thave alot of time either, but if we put our effort together....it'll hopefully works ou!! thumleft

....

BUt the english sub team gota say yes first..... i dont want them to be mad at us....

You have both innerouter2000's and my permission to use our subs. You asked thaominh to ask me, right?

hmmm....you can give Sabbu a try. I tried testing it for you, but since I don't have the vietnamese language pack install on my comp., I wasn't sure if it worked, but at least the characters didn't turn into question marks.

there's a much easier way to do it, why are you taking the long way ? All you have to do is type vietnamese in unicode & save it in unicode format using notepad, and you can load (vobsub) the sub wiht any softwares like BSplayer or Window Media Player without any problem of the words being screwed up!

with vietkey set :
mode : VNI (a1 = á ... ) or TELEX (as = á ....)
code : VN unicode 1 or VN unicode 2

open the english sub with notepad , choose a font that support unicode , some of them : arial , tahoma , .......

hehehehe....we usually stay away from sabbu for plain text subs because all the functions in the program can get confusing Blink

Sabbu's generally used for more graphics oriented subtitles (such as colorful moving subs in bubble font). So it didn't came into my mind until a few days later after you first asked me about the problem. It's great that it can take in many languages.
