We had a bit of a problem with the server however the biggest problem was the tech support of the host provider. They took over 2 days to action a simple request to reboot the server, thats just unacceptable.

Luckily, I was contacted by a host provider in Singapore that offered to host us and for a better price than the current provider so I will give them a try and see how it goes. The new server won't be ready for another week or so then there will be a brief interruption as we move the forum server. I will also see to splitting the nameservers so that they don't all go down at once. I didn't know much about DNS and nameservers when I initially setup d-addicts so I had them all on the same place which isn't a great idea as we just found out.

The huge response time is really bad. Btw, yesterday was a holiday here (3rd Oct - Day of German reunification). Maybe that was a reason for the delay. But no response for two days is really poor service. Neutral

I am so glad to see that the site is back up and running, I didn't realize how much I came on here until I couldn't for two days!! Suprise

oh yay! well not yay about the server error but yay that d-addicts is back. i was getting worried that my laptop was being weird and i tried resetting everything and shutting down firewalls lol.

LOL I thought it was a problem at my end...went on every computer that I could find all over the place to see if it was a server problem... cheers
