As for F4...
Well, maybe I'm just biased against the way that young Taiwanese speak these days. The way they phrase their words and add the ole "la" at the end of their sentences really makes me go a little crazy. =)
I think it might be a little bit of culture shock, since I grew up speaking with older generation and second generation Taiwanese Americans who didn't sound like that. I also primarily watched Wuxia movies and TV series, and they didn't speak like that either. Oh, I can't even imagine someone like Jerry Yan playing in any serious costume drama!
Anyway, besides their speaking habits, I found F4 to be positively horrible actors with zero abilities to convey emotional expressions. Even ole KimuTaku can do that. Some people think it's F4's 'cool way' of acting, but I think it's just lack of talent. =)
Finally, the girl couldn't really act, either. I preferred Hana Yori Dango to Meteor Garden. It was all good that they decided to find completely fresh faces to represent Taiwanese youth culture, but I just couldn't feel it. Maybe if I had grown up in Taiwan it might have been the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I won't really comment on their looks. My mom is also an F4 fangirl. I've decided that she can't say no to a pretty face.

WRT younger men, Fubuki Jun is indeed tough to watch in a "romantic" scene, but let us not forget that there are not just one but two hot babes in this dorama. Inamori Izumi is definitely cute. I think she beats a lot of very popular younger j-actresses who shall go unnamed. She also looks more Japanese than Gojira. And Hoshino Mari would easily make it onto my "would marry on first sight" list. They have rather significant parts in the drama. Just seek past any Fubuki Jun love scenes and you have a drama with plenty o' female eye candy.And the theme song is pretty good too.
As far as this drama finally winning, "divide and conquer" I guess. But is there really anyone interested in this series who hasn't downloaded it yet? I think we must really be scraping the bottom here. I'm just glad Food Fight isn't winning. I voted for "other" since I haven't seen that one yet.

perhaps not for this sotw, but for the next sotw ......
in the ksotw, it sounded like jem gave his permission to d-addicts (not for the posting of torrents, but to have his torrents nominated in sotw).
although it's not a torrent that was posted on d-addicts....
i'd like to nominate WATERBOYS [jem]. i've heard that it's an excellent drama. in the past few days, i've seen several threads pop up concerning waterboys, and there was an announcement that waterboys2 came out. according to the threads i've read, a few people have completed the series, and they sound willing to assist in seeding.
since jem does not have a forum, i thought i'd see if it would be possible for waterboys to be nominated. just a suggestion.
