Yes, it's him. It's been loud about Rain starting in this movie lately. But I think it has no sense 'cause it's not leading role and I think that he didn't act in this movie longer then 10 minutes pinch
Besides, his English isn't good enough to act in American movie...

hehe...

It's like in The Fast and the Furious 3, where I think Tsumabuki Satoshi was in for just 1-2 minutes.

well at least kitagawa keiko had a decent roll in fast and furious 3....
I watched it for her.
I was never interested in Fast and Furious....its to fake.
The real racing world isn't like that at all....well not that fancy.

1-2 minutes? no, more like 30 seconds....... Laugh

all he did was do the "get, ready, set.......GO!" and that was it~! scratch

Anywho, I was much excited to hear about Rain breaking into the American music industry than Hollywood......

I heard the Wachowski Brothers (directors) picked Rain to be in the movie because they were at the same hotel once and there was a huge crowd in the lobby for Rain and they thought, "Wow, in our next movie, we want him."

Rain will also play in the next Wachowskis production "Ninja Assassin".
Speed Racer looks really stupid but I guess he has to start somewhere.

Ninja Assassin seems to be more interesting, as he will play a bigger role in it.
They also say that the movie is based on "Ninja Scroll" a classic in the Ninja anime genre ;-)
Also Chou who played Seraph in Matrix will be one of the leads in this movie. Joy

it will be out on dvd in a few months, i'm sure. its worth buying.

i really enjoyed speed racer. it was a lot of fun and very very much like the anime.

Rain's part was actually a fairly large one and i think he did a very good job in it. I was very surprised by how large his part was and how well he did considering that most of the times that they put popular asian actors into american movies, they give them such small crap roles that it seemed hardly worth their time to do it.

I absolutely loved Speed Racer. Of course, I was also totally psyched about it for months before it hit the theaters too... *shifty look* Rain did a great job, so it will be interesting to see what he does with his role in Ninja Assassin.

As a shameless plug, if you didn't bother to see Speed Racer in the theaters, it might be worth renting if you're up for some eye candy (heavy on the sugar coating).
