hello everyone.
so, i want to rip this subs from a dvd, but the dvd contained two eps. i used subrip, but the result was frustrating. the program rip the whole dvd, and combine the subs for both eps. any idea i could rip the eps one by one?
any help from u guys really would help others who asked for this subs.

From your post, I guess that you already have a subtitle file that contains subtitles for 2 episodes, right?
The easy way is to use some subtitle utilities like Subtitle Workshop to split the subtitle into 2 parts.
(You can download the program here; http://www.urusoft.net/download.php?lang=1&id=sw )
Just go to File-->Load subtitle to load your 2-episode subtitle. Then go to Tools-->Split subtitle and then check the "Given time" option and type the ending time of your first episode and then hit "Split." The program will split the subtitle for you.
The other way is to extract each episode as one video file to your computer first before you rip the subtitle. I know a program called DVDDecrypter can do that. Anyway, if the Subtitle Workshop program works for you, I think it's easier than using DVDDecrypter. ^_^

Adding on to jewelchan, DVD Decrypter also allows you to choose not to rip anything else other than the subs by epsiode so that it does not take up a lot of room on the HD if that is all you need. You can then use subrip to rip the subs from the ifo created from dvd decrypter._________________ -- Robx --
