Ok I got two problems that I need help and good advice on.
First is sort of simple:
My brother wants to add an internal hard drive to his pc to sort his music files on - that would mostly be fruity loop samples and tracks, his own work etc (sorry don't know which file formats, as I don't really listen to music so can't give any more information).
What I do know is that its 3.5in sata hard drive and would prefer anything over 250gb budget around £30-£45ish, any good/reliable brands. Can anyone recommend any HD's to suit him.
Now the second problem sort of has 2 options:
For my pc the 2 internal hard drives are both 200gb pata133 Maxtor DiamondMax10 model: 6L200P0.
Now the first option is just to keep one 200gb that has the o/s and programmes etc and replace the other with a bigger pata hd
The other option is to keep both pata hd's (now this is where I'm a bit confused whether I can do it or would there be conflicts) and just add a sata hd

1) any sata hdd will be fine. any major brand is fine (Seagates have 5 yr warranty though)
2) adding a sata hdd on top of your 2 x 200gb ide drives is fine. just make sure that your computer SUPPORTS sata also
