I loved Kokudo! If they got together, I would have supported them. I was rooting for them at the beginning, but then it became obvious that the only way they'd get together was if Chisato realized he was a man and if there were a few more episodes. LOL
Did anyone notice the Johnny's look a likes?

Oh, no, those two don't look alike. Tsurono's dopplegangler works in my office with me. I swear, after the first episode of Atadan, I kept looooooooking at my co-worker. Then I finally showed him Tsurono's picture so he could see for himself. And even he couldn't deny that they at least look like cousins, maybe brothers, maybe twin brothers. It's really eerie. Exact same face! Just my co-worker is shorter than me.

How strange. Why would we pretend we were if we weren't? I had enjoyed Seto Koji in comedies before, which is why I decided to watch Atadan, and wasn't disappointed this time, either. And I got to watch a lot of other good comedic actors I hadn't seen before. It was pretty much exactly what it promised to be: a light, sweet comedy with attractive, talented people.

Lol, well it's good that you gave it an honest try. Other posters on this board have too, and they obviously enjoyed it. Different strokes for different folks, and all that.
I was very happy with the finale - I waffled between disappointment that it wasn't a 2 hour finale and that it finished on 11 instead of 12, but after reviewing it a few times, am glad that they did wrap it up in one hour with the minimum of clipshow/flashbacks. I wouldn't mind if there was a SP to follow up, but I also wouldn't be saddened if there weren't. Just, the whole series, it had some very good emotionally truthful writing for me, and it was so happy and light and funny - which is all it ever professed to be. It's not meant to be a serious social commentary or a glossy stylistic knockoff - it's a family comedy and some viewers will respond to it and some won't. Like all television shows.
and also, it entertained the hell out of me, which is what I want.

the last episode is so beautiful....but mukai with Chisato...i've never expected or wanted that....it'[s hard to choose among those three breath taking guys...
if Fuu wasn't her real brother , he'd fit her just fine...
