[Discussion] Hyoryu Net Cafe

I didn't see a thread for this in the index, so I thought I'd make one. Is anyone else interested in this upcoming spring drama?

Hyoryu Net Cafe, or Drifting Net Cafe, is based on a (rather new) manga by Oshimi Shuzo. It stars Ito Atsushi, Asami Reina, Takahashi Mai, among others. Tokyograph description says:

The story revolves around salaryman Toki Koichi, who leads a trouble-free but unexciting life. One day he stops by an internet cafe, where he runs into his first love whom he never forgot. A sudden electrical failure traps him and the other customers in the cafe, which has become a strange universe of its own.

It reminds me a bit of Long Love Letter description wise, but I'm thinking it will be different. And, while I love LLL, I'm hoping this show isn't just some clone with adults inside of high schoolers and their teachers.

It depends on what the 'strange universe' means^^ In any case, I'll check the first episode! But I really don't know what to expect from this drama.

This drama looks more and more interesting. It's a shame dramawiki doesn't have more info and that the CMs are so short. I think I'll be watching the first episode next week.

First episode is pretty interesting. I like the directing of this drama. I like Asami Reina here^^ Cute. Reaaaally dislike that first love... so weird-looking and weird-attitude pinch

I wonder where is this story heading? Will it be a science fiction kind? Too bad they didn't show that strange universe yet, in 1st ep. So I'm really looking forward to Ep2, indeed.

I'd like to know how similar this one will be with Tokiwa Takako and Kubozuka Yosuke's Long Love Letter^^

I see we were all reminded of LLL while watching this pinch

That actually is kind of a turn off for me, though, as you said, it'll -hopefully- end up being totally different.

That KIKI person (aka first love) acts in a really strange way. I'm trying to convince myself she's like that 'cause she's supposed to be a strange person, rather than opt for she's just a bad actress pinch

Couldn't find any info on her (I didn't look much though ^_^;;)

So hmm, this first ep didn't much to pull me in, but I'll still give the second ep a go ^__^

I'm a sucker for this kind of material. LLL was one of my faves
I liked the first episode, I was worried that it will be too like LLL, but it looks like a different perspective. So I'm definitely gonna follow this series!
