--The roles you perform: Akihabara's "Challenger" [Soyo] and the business trip maid [Mikuru] are totally different. What things do you have to keep in mind?
If they were similar people, I think it would be hard but Soyo and Miruku are totally opposite in looks and personality. Makeup, costumes, hair styles are also completely different. I don't think "I need to change my feelings" because when I change into each costume I become that role. When performing, I must be careful of my voice. When I am in contact with Sugata (Junpei Mizobata), Soyo uses a low and sharp voice like "Comeback!" but Miruku says "Master~" in a sweet voice.
--When forming your role, it seems like you used your own ideas.
When playing Miruku, I thought "If I were a boy, what kind of girl would I want to come to my room?" I've never been to a maid cafe or seen a real maid but I thought a devoted younger sister would be good (LOL). Besides the tone of voice, I did small gestures so that if even a girl saw me she would say "Cute!" and think of me like a little sister. I even had the wild idea, "I wish I was this type of girl." (LOL). I am the eldest daughter so I was pretty relieved. If I had to say it, I would say my personality is close to Soyo. Miruku is made up but when I am Soyo, I feel like I can just act natural.
--Were you resistant against Miruku's maid clothes or the big breasts setup?
Actually, I wasnt against it, I enjoyed it. (LOL). From the start, I was attracted by cosplay so being able to wear Miruku's costumes makes me very happy! I get pretty excited! There is emphasis on my chest but it's a drama so it's fine.
--Even though your breasts appear, it's not erotic. Mr. Junpei Mizobata (Sugata) said that is interesting. What do you think about him?
I'm a shy person so I don't really start conversations with other people but Junpei-kun is also 18 years old and we both came to Tokyo so because we have those common characteristics he is easy to talk to. Our tastes don't go together though. LOL. For example, he likes traditional Japanese music but I like western music. He likes dubbed movies but I like subtitled movies. And we always fight, "No, this way is definitely better!"
--It's like you are the older sister and he is the younger brother.
That might be right. Actually, Junpei-kun has an older sister so he is a younger brother and he might get mad that I say this but he's kind of like a little brother to me.
--But, when you are filming it's a complete change and you two get serious.
Shogi is really interesting. I watched TV Shogi lectures but in the screen the atmosphere is different. There are sound effects and various lines that are violent so it's some serious Shogi. At one look, it looks like a boring game but it actually is quite intense. If I face the Shogi board, I naturally become tense.
--Even during your breaks, you and Junpei sometimes play Shogi. Do you remember the rules.
At first I didn't know the rules at all but while watching I came to understand. The rules are quite basic but in 10 seconds a Shogi instructor can imagine hundreds of place to move but I can only think of one move when I try my best. So I definitely can't read ahead in the game. LOL. But while playing, the instructor taught me about various movies like "This move is called the badger," so I learned.
--It is said that you can tell the strength of someone just by the way he or she places the pieces. Did you have to bear that in mind when playing the remarkable Soyo?
First stretch the muscles along your back and making them stiff. With the way to place the pieces, Sugata did it manly and slammed the pieces down but Soyo did it ladylike. Make your arm stiff and place it down cooly. Recently, I think I can place them without becoming nervous.
--Finally, is there anything you want to say to the people who watch your show?
Personally, the thing I want you to look at is Miruku's costumes. I want you to look at them why saying "Even though she is a maid, why is she playing Shogi?" And then there is the drama's entirety which is Sugata's turn-around. While he gets stronger, how will he turn out and how will everything develop? I look forward to it and I want a lot of people to watch!
