I have to give you guys a hoot for making it possible to watch this show, since it is an exceptionally funny thriller! The one piece of the puzzle for learning Japanese to really start to understand the culture of Japan, which I get half from watching these shows. Like with American TV, it is all dramatized and doesn't really give a true sense of what each area of Japan is like. I do get a taste, so thanks for making the subs for us shiranaino hito!

I agree with you. "Aren't You a Criminal?" didn't sound like the perfect translation for "Kimi Hannin Janai yo ne?" |
I also agree. That's how this show is a little bit different from the usual detective mystery drama - every week (I guess) Kaname Jun will have a crush on the criminal and want to disprove that she's the murderer. It's just too bad that while the TV station bothered to give an English translation, and they got it grammatically right and all, it's not the best one  |
Just a notice:
It is possible, that this is not a translation.
"Kinen na Aneki" has an English "sub-title" in the opening, just below Japanese title saying "Dangerous Beauty". I do not think they were translating "aneki" to "beauty", but thats an English sub-title of the show.
The same was with "Moto Kare", where the sub-title in the title said "My ex Boyfriend", which is closer to the word-by-word translation...
However, I do not think, that these are only translations. I belive they wanted to add some sub-title in English...
But that is just my opinion..._________________
