For those interested, I've attempted many times but finally seem to find a reliable way to deliver live, streaming content to a wide audience. The video is quite choppy as I am running the application on an old Dell server blade at the moment, but expect the process to be implemented on a VPN server of my own later in the month.

Until then, you may as well see if the quality is worth watching for yourself. Expect 64kb/s audio, and 200kb/s video, at 15fps. Don't intend on watching the video full screen, at least until I find a better way to optimize the process. Think of this as an alternative to KeyHole TV, for anyone who doesn't want to deal with a p2p application anymore.

The service is ran through "Mogulus", and will most likely be able to deliver to a large audience. If I find any problems, or interruptions with the stream, I'll try and fix or remedy the problem as soon as possible. As mentioned earlier, this is currently being ran on a fairly old computer, so if the video lags that is probably it's fault, not yours. I expect 90% uptime throughout the next month, and don't expect to have to make any changes to the current system. Suggestions are always welcome however.

I hope this works as a nice alternative for anyone in need of a better connection, though please understand I realize the quality isn't exactly breathtaking. Thanks again to anyone who has supported me in the past, and I hope to make this service as applicable as possible.

Currently broadcasting: CH8 Fuji Television (CH8 フジテレビ)

EDIT: I added a poll just in-case a different channel other then CH8 was requested. I'll try and vary the content if more then one channel is heavily requested.

Is there a way to rotate the picture? Because it's currently upside down.

Alright, well my application killed the computer it was running on. It probably died about five hours ago, and I really would not have expected such a thing to happen. I'll grab an old laptop and run the relay on that for now, until I can find another stable device to use.

Sorry for the wait, though hearing that the video was upside down worried me a little. I wonder what happened to the computer?

Tried this and the video was great and the audio also. Don't speak Japanese but I gathered I was watching a news programme. Very interesting. Could not make comment there for some reason.

Thanks for providing this, shrgnatlas. The video is pretty decent despite the occasional lag here and there. It'll be very good to have another alternatve if either or -- horror of horrors -- both KHTV and TVU are down.
