I actually wasn't expecting someone to say that they wanted to go to Canada (besides the fact that I live in Canada... Blink ). Kudos to you for wanting to come here Big Smile

Anyway, I really want to visit all of the U.K. (just because I find those places interesting and it’s where my ancestors come from) and Japan. Why Japan? Ever since I started watching anime and reading manga and learning more about their culture, Japan has interested me. I really want to go there and see the place for myself. I also really want to try out their hot springs (though I’m not too sure if I’m comfortable enough to go their hot springs *gulp* naked – if I can go in with a bathing suit on or even a towel, I’d be happy as a flee on a dog! Tongue ).

Japan and Australia.

Of course, I'd have to learn Japanese before I went... Which saddens me because I'll probably never learn... Sad

its so neat seeing all these ppl wanting to see Dubai! I'm from dubai, and when I first started studying in the US - no one had any idea about it ~~~

anyway would this list be places I want to go to (and will within the next 16 months) or places I want to go & its not on my nor my family's schedule?

the places I want to go to, and shall sometime next yr: Xinjiang (family there), Korea (friends there), Canada (the same), Beijing/Shanghai & HK (family there)

Where I'd like to go, and (its not going to happen anytime soon...I'm pretty sure.) Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia.... & brunei.

it varies...

when i was in high school i like to visit - CHINA and see its culture first hand.
when i got into first year college- New Zealand (my dad told me there were more cows there than there were people, and there were lots of sheeps too!)

after these....
its JAPAN, (my dad has been there too, that's where he got my favorite stuff toy bunny! JUNNY BUNNY lolz..)
then AUSTRALIA, KOREA and ISRAEL.

but the country i've been really been dreaming of having a luxurious vacation is the whole of EUROPE. that would be an utter bliss if ever that really happens.

Where do I want to go visit? Back in high school it was France, thus the whole reason for taking French instead of Spanish, but never got around to it. (Now regretting it as Spanish would have worked out better for me.) Sad I guess I can still go as I have family there and I can sort of work on my French again, even though it's very limited to the basics now.

Now, if I could, any of the Asian countries (preferably Japan, South Korean, Taiwan, and China). I would have to learn the language though because I don't just want to visit the main cities. I would also like to go to the smaller cities as well but I don't think I will get the chance to learn any of the languages in order to go. It was hard enough when I went to Laos a few years back. Luckily, once we got to our destination, I just had to rely on family there to do all the talking.

Also Europe will be fun. Sadly, no money and no time for any trip. I could just drive north to Canada or south to Mexico, but it'll be no fun all by myself.

I would suggest to play world of warcraft on a french realm and roleplay using the new words you've learned. That's how I've learned alot of french these last past 12 months. I also actually walkoutside(or jogg) for a while bringing my french dictionary learning new words while talking a walk. The rythm helps alot compared when I'm sitting on the computer trying to learn french.

Oh also, They way i learn new words is like this:
French word: Chien
Meaning dog.
Chi-en...
Chii (one of the maincharacters of a anime) en (en means one in swedish).
So i think...One Chii, which is Chien.
It works! Good luck and have fun taking up your french again Smile
