gokigen yo, minna.. ^^ can I ask something? why don't you like softsub? isn't it better because we have the raw version (and we can screencaps as many as we want without subs in the screen pinch) but we can still enjoy the sub? 8D hehehe..

@satsukidesu
Hi .. many people don't like softsubs because the raws files are always bigger in size than the hardsubs..
also the hardsubs are fixed and always accurate, but softsubs sometimes have timing/font/format problems.
finally it's preferred by people who are interested in burning dramas on DVDs as I guess..
But sure you can have much better screencaps with the raw versions =)

Also Hey! (Say!...ahem.^^)
This site was already mentioned on the first page of this thread. But you´re right: This livejournal is the best and fastest resource for english subs of "Scrap Teacher". There is also a thread in the "Subtitles forum" of this site (d-addicts) here, where you can download all softsubs from ep.01 to 05 in .srt (But I have to say, that the softsubs of the livejournal-site you just posted are working better for me).

yes it's german
I was surpised to hear my own language in a JDorama Big Smile
but...it was really horrible, dind't understand a single word, I only understood Claudia
the only thing what I understood from the boys was the last word "wiederlich"

I hope one of the germans among us can understand it and can write it down for us other germans to understand what they really said
I would be really grateful if someone is able to do this

haha yes xD
I thought: "How can she say "perfekte Aussprache" (perfect pronounciation) when I didn't understand anything?"
Maybe she didn't understand a single word, too but she had to say it because it was her role
but I think when they use an other language they should make it that people who speaks this language can understand it

and btw....Claudia sounds like she speaks with a dialect...maybe she isn't really a german? maybe she is a foreigner but is able to speak german very good
but who knows ^^;

The actress of "Claudia" wasn´t German for sure. She sounded very much like being from Poland or Russia. The "German speaking part" was sure a lot of fun, but the only one who was understandable at all was Yuri Chinen. His pronouncitation was really very good. Daiki and Yamada failed totally. (But no blame...think of a German, who don´t know Japanese at all and has to speak that language...he would fail also.)
I just wonder who was the translator....They used the term "geklüngelt" for "deceiving"...this term is only used nowadays in a certain part of Germany (Nordrhein-Westfalen...Cologne in particular). Also strange: Yamada replies to "Perfect pronouncitation" with "Gern geschehen!" (= "My pleasure)... a replic you wouldn´t give at all if someone gives you a commendation. Whatever....the makers of "Scrap Teacher" hadn´t viewers from Germany in mind at all for sure ( but why should they?^^)

PS: Where the hell are the english subtitles for Episodes 7 and 8...does someone have them???

i agree with yahiko in opponance to ryuuta. the series is made for japanese viewers who are only supposed to be impressed because for japanese people it is really impressionable when japanese can speak other languages. (as they themselves are going through a lot of hardships with just learning english ^^)

I supposed there was a japanese who had lived in cologne for 2 years who wrote this part! he thought it might be funny to confuse foreign people watching it! ^^

ok so starting after what takasugi said:

Irie: Wir sind schockiert! (literally: We are shocked!)
Yoshida: Es ist unglaublich, dass unser Lehrer sowas machen würde! (It's unbelievable, our teacher would do something like that!)
Takasugi: Als seine Frau, was denken sie wir machen? (As his wife, what think you we do?)

The first part of takasugi yoroshiku!

I´m still looking out for the English subs of Episode 7 -end. This is kind of frustrating.....if someone has it...please post a link...kudasai!!
Some Ebay-Shops are offering already DVDs containig subtitles, but they´re somewhat....welll...they advertise their DVDs by "starring Yuki Chinen and Yujo Nakamija"....that doesn´t sound very much as a decent release, did it?
*sigh*
