The Semi-official Wuxia Series of the Month (July 09)

Welcome to July 2009's Semi-official Wuxia Series of the Month (WSoTM) Poll.

As the name implies, the WSoTM is dedicated to seeding completed Wuxia drama series with ENGLISH subs. Note that WSotM is not official yet. This poll is intended to be a test run. At the moment, I and others who have pledged to seed will be responsible for the seeding of the selected WSotM. Please make your pledge to seed the WSoTM in this thread.

The vote shall run until July 5, 2009. The seeding shall commence at July 6, 2009. So, cast your vote now! The voting is somewhat late. Sorry.

No matter what I might think about the others this month. Fox Volant gets my vote. It's simply the best wuxia of the bunch. Besides, it's got Athena Chu and Gillian Chung - more than eye candy, they do their roles very well.

Fox Volant is a great series, but I voted for Lotus Lantern as it is the only Mandarin film I haven't seen. It would be nice to get some series with dual audio so that both Mandarin and Cantonese speakers can enjoy. I personally don't speak either well enough to catch everything, so I rely on the English subtitles, but my wife will only watch the Mandarin titles.

I've watched a few episodes of Lethal Weapon and while a bit CG heavy, it doesn't seem too bad. I really wanted to see the comedy Chess Warriors but faced with voting for it or Fox Volant, I had to concede that Fox Volant is a much better wuxia...I'd like to see Lotus Lantern too (since I've never seen it)..I'll have to wait for some other month...perhaps...

All of them do. In fact, for the series to be nominated into WSotM, all of their episodes have to be English subtitled.

I remember watching the original Fox Volant of the Snowy Mountain (1985). I liked it a lot, though I didn't remember the exact story line. So, I definitely vote for Fox Volant!

I actually want to see Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion since I heard a lot of good things about it. So my vote goes to that.

LWOLAP is a good series and so is Fox Volant. Out of the two I think Fox Volant may slightly edge it. But I thought both were very good thumright
