I saw Kasouken no Onna 6 under upcoming jdrama for summer 2006 Big Smile Big Smile .
http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Upcoming_JDrama

When I was in Japan for holiday last summer (2005), I caught an episode of Kasouken no Onna. Although, I don't understand any Japanese, I was quite sure that it wasn't Kasouken no Onna 1-5. So is this year Kasouken no Onna, is season 6 or 7? Please could anyone enlighten me on this?

Thank you.

It's season 6 like it says on the page you posted the link to. It started airing last week.

Thanks gryzze.
(Note: visited the upcoming drama page again today, and Kasouken no Onna 6 has now been changed to Shin Kasouken no Onna 2.)

Now I am wondering what season did I saw last summer. Does anyone has any info on Kasouken no Onna that was shown in summer 2005 in Japan?

Thanks.

The 2004 season was Shin Kasouken no Onna, season 1. Look for Kato Takako (the one who played Kaori in Women of the Onsen - the 2004 season is her first. You may have seen a replay of the series because TV Asahi skipped 2005.

Here's the note I wrote on the wiki: This renzoku drama is broken up into two different series. Years 1999 through 2002, the series was named Kasouken no Onna. The series technically ended as of the 2002 season, with a total of four seasons. In 2004, TV Asahi brought back the series as a whole new renzoku drama, called Shin Kasouken no Onna, or New Woman of the Crime Lab. 2004 season is identified as new season 1, although most people, including KIKU-TV, identifies this as season 5. For the sake of accuracy, DramaWiki chooses to use TV Asahi's official naming convention.

I am quite sure that the episode I saw in 2005 wasn't the replay, the case was unfamliar.

A search in google gave me this page
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%A7%91%E6%8D%9C%E7%A0%94%E3%81%AE%E5%A5%B3
which I think is about Kasouken no Onna series (I can't read Japanese), and it lists 2005 season as well.

That means the 2006 season is actually Shin Season "3", or in case someone's counting from 1999 season "7". They don't even have that listed on the wiki. I'll make the correct later on today.

Ah... So that's why the release I've found was labeled "新・科捜研の女 第3".

I thought it was a typo...

a little off-topic question.. from DramaWiki, the producer of this drama is Tezuka Osamu. isn't that the producer who wrote BusuKoi's novel?

Tezuka Osamu was a famous mangaka and animator who died in 1989...the BusuKoi guy is Suzuki Osamu. ^^

The Kasouken no Onna producer is obviously not THE Tezuka Osamu, though, just someone who shares the name. I bet when he introduces himself people get confused. I kind of feel sorry for the Kasouken no Onna producer, unless it's actually a stage name or something and not his real name. pinch

Does anyone where I can find 2005 season, preferably with English subtitle? Is KIKU-TV planning to sub it?

I'm too busy uploading other dramas right now. Maybe I'll post a batch when this season is over.
