@kandi: Forum? That would be great. Let us know.

@Kai Lien: About Sword of the Outlaw: That would be great too. And for your effort to obtain better raws for Young Yang Warriors: Thanks. Big Smile

A forum will be very useful to discuss things.

As for which series to work on, I think it'll be better to finish up the series that are already started: Young Yang Warriors, Madame White Snake, Treacherous Waters or Sword of the Outlaw.

As for other series to work on, I have the vcds of Wind & Cloud 1 (with Chinese hardsubs). I'm not sure whether it has been subbed in English before by others or not but I think it is a great series as well. Oh, and Kung Fu Beggar would also be nice (provided we can get good raws).

To add to that list, I have Eight Heroes which I can provide the dvd-rips as well.

Just a fyi: Sword of the Outlaw eps. 1-3 are currently being worked on by dholics-fansubs, but will not finish the entire series without help.

I see that we all have a mixed collection of wuxia series (cheers to that!) and we could very well have our hands full before we know it Tongue But like Ueda Jiro said, there's already a few series in progress already, so that's a good headstart! I'll see if I can get a few more people involved in this project....

Neat. pinch To my knowledge, Wind & Cloud I was never subbed but it was one of Jem's earlier captures but some of the episodes didn't have sound. That would be a nice project to do since 2 is subbed and I'm sure people would be interested in 1.

I have a few raws that might be of interest. Xiao Shiyi Lang, the Palm of Rulai and the new Lu Xiao Feng are some nice series. Wink Mr. Green

Recruiting has begun. Tongue

No offense but I heard (emphasis on the word heard) that Eight Heroes sucked. Edison also gets killed very early...like in the 7th episode? Sad

Yeah, and especially since 1 is soooooo much better than 2. I'll try to upload the first episode to megaupload so that you guys can check out what it's like.

How many episodes is Lu Xiao Feng? I haven't watched Xiao Shiyi Lang before but I think it should be fine. However, I don't like Palm of Rulai even though Athena Chu acts in it.

Well guys, the most important is getting high quality raws. Mr. Green Subbing on low / medium quality raws is really pain in the neck.

Young Yang Warriors shouldn't be bound by that rule because it is simply too awesome. dance

Okay, I've uploaded the first episode of Wind & Cloud. Go check if it is good quality enough or not.

Haha.. To alot of people, it sucked because 'Edison dies too fast'.. I read all the mixed reviews before buying it, and most of them just stated the line above. There was also a complaint of FBB dy..ing and I guess that 'ruined' it for some fans Whistling

@Kai Lien:
That's LXF 06 with Peter Ho right?

Big Smile Would you be able to use an inexperienced but enthusiastic fan who likes period dramas and who would love to help in the subbing process?

I think we can use all the help we can get so I have absolutely no objections to the both of you joining. Just wait and see what the others think. Smile

@matikin9: Just a question, are you able to translate?

@LdyKlutzy: We haven't decided on our future projects yet although Flying Daggers can be one of the candidates.

>_<'' Unfortunately not, I'm able to casually converse in Chinese but I wouldn't be able to understand all the vocabulary used in a wuxia series. However, I think that my English and technical skills would be adequate enough to learn any non-translating duties.

:/ I wish I could get my dad to translate dramas - then I can just polish up his English and voila!

Even if you can't translate, you can still help out in other stuff like timing, editing, typesetting and encoding etc. I'm sure there'll something you can help with.
