I was wondering if anyone knew how they pick people to be in the studio audience for the various Japanese music or variety shows. I am going to Japan, and I would love to attend a taping of something like Hey Hey Hey Music Champ, but I am thinking the tickets to that soet of show must be limited to fan club members or some other obscure/special contest winners or something... does anyone know?

You apply via postcard to the hosting TV station.
If they're putting on a special concert, Fan Club membership can grant you a spot at the filming.
