It’s great to see that the travel industry is beginning to take off a bit. With all of the unfortunate events that have taken place in the last two years, it’s no wonder why more people are beginning to purchase those plane tickets and book those hotels. The world has been putting off a lot of its plans, travel being one of the biggest ones. Even though some countries are practically still closed and not allowing visitors, it’s still possible to find some very unique places to travel and indulge your wild side.

Because many people have been staying away from travel for so long, now that the veil has been lifted, it has created a desire in many to see some places that they have never seen before. People want to see something unique and adventurous, and there’s nothing wrong with that. As it turns out, if you look hard enough, you can find some great places that are not just accommodating, but unique enough to stir your wanderlust again. To make the list doable for most, here are three of those unique places for you to try soon.

1. Ikaria, Greece

This Greek island is found off the Turkish coast and will take about two hours to get to by ferry. However, this is one of the best Greek islands to see in your life for several reasons. It’s actually one of the world’s five – that’s right, only five – blue zones. This means that in this particular location, people actually live longer and healthier lives. One out of every three people will live longer than 90 here, and there are reasons why. To begin, the diet in Ikaria consists of locally grown vegetables, fresh fish, and homemade red wine. Not only do the people live longer here, but there doesn’t seem to be any dementia or depression, so don’t expect to see many mental illnesses here. It’s a great place to visit if you also want to learn how to diet right and live longer and healthier. You’ll find some of the best beaches with beautiful pebbles and sand. Leave the watch at home and don’t worry about the time, because the locals don’t.

2. Pancake Rocks, New Zealand

If you haven’t ventured to New Zealand yet, this is definitely a place you’ll want to add and cross off your bucket list. In New Zealand, there sits a beautiful, unique landscape of limestone rocks by the sea that has been eroded over time. The rocks now resemble pancakes on top of pancakes, which makes for a strange, but inspiring landscape. Not only is this place easy to access, but you’ll see some of the sea gushing through a number of blowholes, resembling a geyser effect. You’ll want to make sure that you visit the Pancake Rocks when the sea has a high tide. It’s still great to see when the tide is not in, but without it, you won’t get to see all of the interesting gushes of water through the blowholes. Go ahead and put New Zealand on your bucket list, as you’re sure to find other beautiful landscapes.

3. Cancun’s Underwater Museum

Now, you’ve probably been to countless museums in the past, but this is one you’re sure to have never experienced. In Cancun, there is actually a museum filled with beautiful sculptures completely underwater! Of course, to access this museum, there are a few ways that you can do it. If you want to get the best experience, you’ll want to scuba dive. Don’t worry, because most sculptures are only about 25 feet, and they’ll give you basic training and equipment before you dive. However, you can still see the amazing art with a glass-bottom boat or by snorkeling.

These interesting places are sure to ignite that wanderlust in you and feed your adventurous side. This year, don’t settle for another boring trip but get a little unique.
