Why didn't they have Nodame play with a full orchestra conducted by Chiaki? They are following the manga, and that hasn't (yet) happened in the manga. Stay tuned for the upcoming movies.... I honestly enjoyed Nodame's piano playing more than Chiaki's conducting. I don't know... One possible reason ...

For most who don't know much about conducting, it's not really that noticeable... Though I do notice at times he is sorta out of sync with the music... It's not surprising that the anime would/could be more convincing in this respect, since you have virtually unlimited control of the video image......

lol i guess for the layman we tend to think what so hard about conducting, but i guess quite a big bulk of the work is done before the performance. When done correctly, conducting does not produce a single sound, so clearly there is a great deal more to performances than the conducting. Furthermore...
