I know it's kind of useless to worry about ratings, but Ep. 4 only got 19.3%! Hopefully it'll pick up, I don't remember the last time a Kimutaku drama had a rating that wasn't in the 20s.

Plus, I really like the small funny bits in the drama. Kind of reminds me of Hero.

I finally saw the first ep. Kimura's curly curly hairstyle is still pretty hilarious each time I see it! I think I'll continue watching the series. The ratings for the second ep were pretty consistent too - 23%. Yeah, at the very end it was kind of awkward - Madonna didn't look too impressed with th...

I really want to see this drama too! I love the cast, Abe Hiroshi and Fukatsu Eri!

Just checked and ratings for first ep is up - 23.8%. Seems about standard for a Kimutaku drama.

I used to think Matsujun was freaky looking but now I kind of think he looks cute. He kind of has a squirrel face. Yamapi looks okay now, but I really can't imagine what he'll look like 5 or 6 years from now. He still looks like he's a little boy sometimes. I still don't understand why people love K...

I would say that the most popular JE guy is Kimura Takuya. He's what, past 35 now, and he's still so handsome. Plus, his dramas generally score incredible ratings. And, he's definitely a good actor. I can't wait for his new drama coming out in a few weeks! Hmm but if you're talking about young...

I haven't finished his recent one Karei Naru Ichizoku yet. Karei Naru Ichizoku was such a great drama! I loved it, and Kimura looked especially good in all those suits. I think CHANGE starts May 12 (so late)! Though it's also good because I'll be done with final exams by then, so I can watch it gui...

I finally got around to watching the first ep. Kind of cute, but I thought the first ep was also kind of slow in certain points. I hadn't seen Otsuka Nene in anything since "Hero" so I was surprised to see how much she's aged! She's still pretty, but there were moments when I thought she looked olde...

Re: "Around 40"

Hi all, Thought I'd stop by and leave a note myself. This looks like it will be a very entertaining series... so much so, in fact that, after consulting with my long-time editor Phoenix , we've decided to go ahead and work on english subtitles for "Around 40." We'll do our best to make them as good...

I finally finished this drama. I watched the first ep the week it came out - and then totally stopped. I guess the first ep was a little too much for me. But, I'm glad I got around to watching all the eps. I think it gradually got better (er, either that or I got used to some of the cartoony effects...

Just read an article on livedoor news saying that there's talk about Okada's suitability to be a SP. It states that it is impossible because the requirements are quite strict. Most essentially, he doesn't make the cut given his stature. Okada does seem kind of short compared to the other actors! I ...

^ I agree! Ep 3 definitely ended at a bad point. Though I am looking forward to next week's, since I stopped watching before the closing song. I noticed from last week that they spoiled some of the best moments from Ep. 3 during the closing song for Ep. 2 as well.

Just saw the first ep. The storyline was a little predictable, but it was still pretty enjoyable. Yeah, you could tell the production values were pretty good. Plus, Okada Junichi looks extremely cute in a suit and tie. Preview for ep 2 looks rather exciting too. I'll probably keep watching this seri...

I don't think that the "Japanese are really like that." It's really strange to generalize from one TV show to questioning the entire population. Sure, people aren't too friendly -- but I've found that in cities across the globe there are unfriendly people. I think it was probably just a combination ...

Yup, I agree with you all. Aiba's English is just so great -- I love that one episode of Tensai when he goes to the Singapore bird park and ends up trying to explain to the guy from the park that he was "Japanese idol" and then he sang "Arashi arashi for dream!" Actually, almost all of the Tensai VT...

Too bad Aiba hasn't been in many dramas. I think his last major role was probably in Mukodono (off the top of my head, I could be wrong on this). But, he's always really, really adorable in the variety shows he does -- like Mago Mago Arashi, Arashi no Shukudai-kun and of course Tensai! Aiba-chan in ...

The last episode airs soon. I'm so sad! Yamada Taro is basically the only drama I watch. It made me realize how cute Nino can be (that boy has squishable cheeks), and seriously, it's weird that he played high schoolers in dramas when he was a high schooler. Now he's 24 and he's still playing high sc...

I just saw the first episode... and it was definitely entertaining! I liked the Arashi theme song in the beginning (I can't wait to see the PV for that), and Nino and Sho were both good fits for their roles. It's pretty amazing to me that Nino is already 24 and he can pull of being a high schooler! ...

Shun looks extremely cute in those pictures! Short hair/bangs like that definitely suit him. I only watched half of the TW version of Hana Kimi, Wu Zhun was okay in terms of acting, but I think Shun will do a better job since he has tons more experience. I think Hana Kimi was Wu Zhun's second drama....

I'm no good judge of masculine beauty or sexual appeal because, duh, I'm not the target consumer for such stuff. But it's becoming apparent that many of our female viewers are having trouble separating Fujiki the actor from the character he plays on screen. I suffer no such constraints, and setting...
