I saw a few previews on YouTube, and it looks pretty cute. Maybe I'll watch it even though the subs aren't perfect? Or maybe I'll wait hehe.

I think I read something about it airing there on the 26th? I feel like I've heard so much about it that it should already be airing, but I guess it's not yet XD I'm surprised I haven't really seen anyone here talking about it much yet. I mean, the Korean My Girl is REALLY popular, so a remake shoul...

Filipino "My Girl"

Does anyone know if the Filipino My Girl will be up for download on D-Addicts? I really want to see it! Of course, I would hope that someone would sub it too. I loved the original, and I'm curious about this remake!

How does everyone think it will do?

I have a question: What have people thought of Fireworks (the K-Drama of the month)? I know I've heard opinions about it, but I can't remember if people said that they hated it or loved it. As I watch more dramas, I have less tolerance for shows that disappoint. I would prefer to not to start watchi...

I recently finished Dal Ja's Spring, and I have to agree with everyone who has said it's good. It was sooo funny, touching, and amazing. There was a little bit of cliche drama at the end, but it was easy to get past, and it had a great ending. It's definitely on my list of favorites now.

Two underrated dramas: Bad Family: HILARIOUS and touching show. There were a few things near the end that made me go "eh" but the good far outweighed the "bad" (I am just picky about certain details). Evasive Inquiry Agency: Whoooaaa, this show is so amazing. I don't even have an...

I'm curious about actual Cdramas, not just Twdramas. Is there anything recommended from China that is modern? I suppose I'm willing to watch something historicalish if it's phenomenal, but I'm wondering if there ARE any modern-time Cdramas around.

Relating to this topic, I read from the newspaper Joe Cheng will star as the lead in Honey and Clover Taiwan version. They will start filming after chinese new year. This trend of duplicate dramas from different countries is getting really weird!!! What?! I know I'm late in hearing this news haha. ...

Narumi Riko as Hagu is starting to settle into my head, and I think I'm getting used to it in a good way. I would probably prefer it if she was older LOOKING younger, but you can't have everything! I just have this feeling she'll do just fine in her role :) Yanie, I hope it won't just be about roman...

I just have to say I am exploding with excitement about this drama. I loved the anime to absolute pieces. pieces pieces pieces. I was a little letdown by the movie, but I still liked it. And I just recently heard that this was coming out! With Ikuta Toma as Takemoto! Best news ever! The rest of the ...

This summer I took a really difficult class on globalization, and the textbook featured scholarly articles by people from all over the world. Everyone in the class had to do a presentation on an article, and I happened to choose the one by a (South) Korean scholar. During this time I ran across Goon...

Hey, I have a dilemma that regards this drama. I am a fan of hardsubs, but I don't know whether to go for Nya's or Love Song's because they both hardsub this drama. Which should I go for? Maybe this is an unfair question, because I'm sure they're both really good. I just am reallllly bad at deciding...

General Johnny's Jimusho / Entertainment Thread

[mod edit: Please use this thread for general Johnny's Entertainment questions or discussion] I'm looking into doing a presentation on Johnny's Jimusho/Entertainment for my sociology class, but I'm having trouble finding decent articles in English. I mostly watch dramas on my laptop, but when more than one person wants to watch I will hook my laptop up to my TV via S-cable. For sound (since my laptop sound is very underwhelming) we use my brother's guitar amp, but that is rough going. There is a lot of feedback so it sounds pretty crappy. Eith...

Re: Hello - Thanks for this wonderful web site!

Well let me just get started by saying I've wandered to this website due to a wonderful Korean Drama that a coworker had (already watched - twice) stuck on. FULL HOUSE. Oh my gosh, even after watching the DVD I went and got the Original soundtrack and listening nothing but the soundtrack in my car ...

Well, age and make-up ( as well as hair, teeth, etc.) can do wonders. Most of these look like school-age pictures, and not great ones at that. I wouldn't out-rule the idea of plastic surgery, but come on. Did any of us look even remotely good during adolescence? Chances are, unless you were a part o...

Wow, thank you so much! What a helpful reply. My prof is very traveled. She said his name before and it was far from how I would pronounce it. Help need with Korean name pronunciation!

I have a giant school project due (it's like 50%+ of my grade, urgh) in a few weeks and it's all based on the work of a Korean author named Paik Nak-chung. I have to give a presentation and I am worried I'm going to butcher his name. I've been trying to figure it out on my own and what I've gotten s...
