Haha, since this thread came alive again, I'll add my bit. I think you don't have to worry about the young ones getting abused by an 80+ year old man. Johnny probably does not have the sexual energy anymore to get things going... Plus if you wanted to take down JE to save the boys, all your favorite...

So far, this drama tops HYD2 for this year's bunch. I love it and yet, I am unable to watch it continuously. One episode a day is enough for me. I have to prepare myself mentally to watch it to be honest. Unlike other dramas, I actually do NOT snack when I watch this (try imagine your tears soaking ...

I went to Japan in May 06, and am planning a return in March 07. I'm into Anime, and Jdrama and Jpop. But to be fair, a lot of anime has taught me much about the culture of the Japanese...like the outward politeness of the society, the fact that Japanese ppl are usually obsessed with their hair and ...

I'm Canadian Chinese and I used to be fed lots of anti Japanese stories (basically war stories about their cruelty etc) till I disliked them a lot. Then a friend once said to me...well, if you hate Japan so much, you should throw out everything you have that is Japanese. Haha...my house would be emp...

GTO for me is far better. I guess I could identify with it better even though the lengths Onizuka Sensei goes to to help ppl are a bit outrageous. In Orange Days, I kept feeling there had to be a better way for the ppl in the show to handle things and I kept wanting to get in there and scream at the...

I didn't really like Kou too much cos of the b**ch factor in the way she sometimes treated Kai. But then I really really started to enjoy her acting when I found out she sang the ending theme song for Sekai no Chuushin de...and then I was in love with her voice...ironically in a show where she plays...

Actually it depends on your gender too. From a guy point of view, and based on the popularity of the dramas my guy friends like to borrow from me, If you enjoy those funny growing pains/school stories, then I think H2, GTO, Gokusen, Stand Up! will entertain you. For those romantic ones that make you...

Onizuka Sensei gets my vote cos he seems fun to hang out with. Yangumi is hilarious but has this weird superhero alter ego that kinda scares me, especially after she undoes her hair and remove her glasses. But I love the way she just appears next to the students when in group conversations. Kinpachi...
