Re: New active staff, forum rules, and new layout

Many, many years ago, there was a new subber whose English could have been better. There was much discussion here about the quality of the subs, some of it rude. The subber was so embarrassed that they left DA and opened up a LJ. This subber continued to sub and improved their English to the point t...

Truth. The subs of Chihayafuru ~Tsunagu~ are basically Ais's subs, but at least they left the credits in that one.

Re: Suggestions to Expand DramaWiki

While I can see the desire for more engagement in DramaWiki, I am also against reviews and comments. I was spoiled long ago by some stupid comment that really added nothing to the discussion. I don't really care about trailers, especially if they auto play. This may not be on the Wiki side but of Wi...

If you haven't, you should check her out in Blade of the Immortal and Bleach. I've very much enjoyed her in the movies and dramas she's been in.

I was watching Gift (1997) thanks to Keiko1981's recent upload.

I was wondering who the actress is who plays Aoi in episode 7. Thanks.

When did J-Dramas Start Being Broadcast in Widescreen?

I noticed that many of the older shows (like early 2000's) now getting released as DVDrips or TBS stream captures are in widescreen which makes me think that they had to be filmed that way. So I've been wondering when they started broadcasting the shows on air as widescreen?

Thanks!

Re: How was things back when D-Addicts was around?

I didn't know DA started in 2003; for some reason I thought it was earlier. Then I was around basically from the beginning. I remember getting Moto Kare raws from here and watching it without subs as I was totally into Uchiyama Rina then. This was right after I found J-TV's Bus Stop on Tokyo Toshoka...

I've been watching it from Day 1. My favorite series this season. I love Takeuchi Yuko. They could make a 2 hour movie of her eating, and I would pay to see it.

And yes, I pulled a muscle laughing when she was addressed as Wato-san. Brilliant!

Thank you for your replies. I recently changed from uTorrent 2.2.1 to qBittorrent. The qB RSS feed/downloader seems a bit more intuitive than that presented in the older uTorrent. I vaguely remember messing with it some, but not getting the automatic downloads to work in uT. I got qB working with Ny...

Question about the Old Torrent Section (Just Curious)

I know I'm asking about a defunct section, but I've been trying to remember, but I can't. IIRC, the old torrent section linked to 2 external torrent sites, like torcache, and a magnet link. Did the torrent section have an RSS feed that was customizable, so that I could only filter only the Japanese ...

Yes, Mousou Kanojo only has 4 eps.

She has a small part in Roosevelt Game.

But she has a larger and very funny role in Tamagawa Kuyakusho of the Dead.

You may want to check out her younger sister, Hirose Suzu.

I think having sections for Japanese, English, and Hungarian subtitles would be great. Other languages too if they get a large subbing fan base.

This had been talked about when the forum software switched over and was planned but never implemented.

MPC does use .srt and .ass files. I do it all the time.

In the options, under playback, make sure auto-load subtitles is checked.

In subtitles->default style, you can try to check opaque box. I've never tried this but it should do what you need.
