i'll recommend my favorites: nodame cantabile, ima ai ni yukimasu, and kekkon dekinai otoko

good jmovies? imo:

love letter (most of shunji iwai's works are great )
tengoku no honya (love d piano piece)
always sunset on the third boulevard (outstanding cast, plot, direction everything!)
ima ai ni yukimasu (i love d tv series more tho)
tada kimi wo aishiteru

as an avid fan of the original series, i understand very well why the ratings for this show is going downhill. it's all because the script's messed up. it's no longer umino chika's famed honey and clover. the drama's plot is totally digressing from the original plot. the poignancy is not that strong...
