Nobuko is not only fat, but has a personality that's like nails on a chalkboard (perhaps Saki Aibu just isn't good at playing a genki girl). But I'm sure the series will still end with her being fat and prince charming marrying her because of her "inner beauty." Even if she didn't have an ...

I don't have any more access than you do. I can't read Japanese and I don't live in Japan.

It's been over a month since the quake. If those actresses had died or gone missing, we would have known about it a long time ago. Kitagawa has been active since the quake, and Ueno Juri is still acting in Gou, so how they could be dead or missing?

I don't get why the wiki has to be so closed. My favorite actress' entry is very incomplete (as are many others), and I don't see anyone fixing it. If I wanted to do it I'd have to send an application . Forget it. If you're going to run the wiki by yourselves, then I expect you to keep it updated. B...

They're both great sites and 90% of my drama/movie downloads have come from either SR or those two livejournal groups. In fact, between the three sites there have only been two dramas and one movie I haven't been able to find, and I haven't found them anywhere else either (well, I know Stormy has o...

I like Tokiwa.

I mildly dislike Maki Horikita, but I think that may be because of the roles I've seen her in. She seems to be quite charming when she's smiling, but I think I've only seen her play unlikeable and grumpy characters.

Something about Meisa Kuroki annoys me a lot.

My interpretation of el_canuck's incoherent ramblings is that he's some sort of weeaboo trying to defend the honor of Glorius Nippon. I am not saying that you guys have no right to criticise but what i'm saying is the choices are dumbfounding to me. Obviously there are elements to the story that int...

The ratings were 05.9, I don't know how good that is by NHK standards.

Around here (as in the English-speaking Internet) I have mostly just seen people complain that it isn't like the manga and Tanimura is not beautiful enough to be the lead.

Well, the first episode is so formulaic and predictable that it was probably automatically generated by a computer (much like many other dramas). Not even one drop of originality, just one cliche after another. The sequence in the beginning that shows the main character as a child is completely redu...
