Topic: braces - cute/attractive or a huge turnoff?

When I first saw someone with braces on, I thought it was a tiny turn off. Only a small one. Over time though I came to see people with braces as sort of underdogs. They have to endure not looking their best (imo) for a long period of time. So, in that context of being an underdog, every time I see ...

with my female friends, I tend to wonder 'what if we progress to romance?'. The thought just comes and goes, but I don't act upon it. So, in the end, we remain friends and don't cross the line into romance but that doesn't mean the thoughts don't cross my mind. People are different, though. Maybe I'...

Prostitution goes back to Biblical times (and even earlier than that), and in a way, it's no different than offering marriage for money, or going out with someone because they can be your sugar mommy/daddy. Marriage for love and free sex are very recent concepts, which is not to say that I think it...

Joewong, why don't you take your chances with a girl and begin discovering for yourself what girls are really about. I think that is better than hearing it all from your friends. Do you have female friends? If so, you could ask them for their opinions about women, too. Learn to make your questions s...

I can't believe that I only JUST discovered japanese dramas after years of studying Japanese culture and language. Definitely the most fun way to learn Japanese, I've found. It's almost like I've discovered the holy grail of Japanese entertainment.

I have thought about how to reply to this topic for a good 20 minutes and Zarine has just posted everything I have wanted to say and more. If you don't like that she is lying to you, you have to adress the issue with her directly. I was faced with a situation where a girl I liked was seeing another ...

Yeah, i've also noticed the lack of passion in J drama kissing scenes. It's almost as if kissing is just another formal greeting for them. they lean towards each other just enough for their lips to meet, hold for maybe 3 seconds, then part lips. Looks robotic. I've gotten used to it anyway and by th...

Ok, I was watching the first episode of 1 litre of tears and I while I thought it was sad, I did not cry. Then at the very end they showed pictures of the real Ikeuchi Aya and the song Only Human was playing in the background - at the very first verse of the song, tears just started flowing. Seeing ...

[quote=I am so afraid to watch "One Liter Of Tears"!!! LOL I hate crying and I can tell from what everyone says about it that it is definitely a tissue grabber![/quote] I am also hesitant to watch 1 litre of tears. I have a backlog of J-doramas to get through but I keep passing on 1 litre ...

I haven't seen many J-Doramas yet but I thought Okaeri from Zettai Kareshi was great! It is sung by Ayaka, which was cool because I heard and liked her song "Why" from Crisis Core way before I got into J-Doramas.

Zettai Kareshi was my first J-dorama and I hold it dear to me. I thought that Aibu Saki's acting was quite kawai (loved how she pulled off all her different facial expressions) and I thought the 2 male leads were very likable. Hayami is perfect as Naito because of his good looks. Hiro Mizushima is v...
