I watched on a computer screen for several years. Always moved a big armchair over to have it more comfortable. Now I mostly watch on a TV screen. Most stuff still comes from downloading dramas but if there is anything good on Netflix I watch it there.

I don't know about x265 support but if you want to have the waveform view back just click on icon 18 (http://docs.aegisub.org/manual/Audio) . This will disable the spectrum analyzer mode. If you don't know the checksum of a file you can't be sure if it is corrupt or not. I would try to redownload everything per torrent. Your torrentclient should check the files beforehand and you don't have to redownload the full file if you are lucky.
