Re: [Question] Is this scene dying?

Do US Netflix, Amazon Prime, iTunes have many subtitled Japanese dramas? I think iTunes had Blade the Immortal, and when I search Nanako Matsushima, Matsu Takako, their names and faces show up, but not much of anything else. Doctor X shows up in Amazon search, but says unavailable. Sorry for the la...

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out. From a quick look though they're relatively short. Got me wondering, if there are any series that have many seasons. Kdrama seems to be going strong, much like Kpop. But Jdrama, despite having more complex, well-written shows, has never really taken off globally outside of Asia. It sucks. I dunno groink, there's a bit of both in either fandom, isn't there? I know anime fans that are die-hard fans of certain voice actors. I fangirl over certain actors and actresses, but when I'm picking and choosing what dramas to watch in the new season I look at the basic storyline first and not the...

I'm a weirdo. I've watched Moto Kare 3 times, and Kimi wa Petto twice, but that was awhile ago. I tried to re-watch Lunch Queen recently but only got through the first 3 or 4 episodes before I got too busy with other things, and a bit bored. I usually just watch things once and delete them. I'm with...

Ummm... I'm a little annoyed that Double Kitchen never actually got featured on the main torrent page. I don't think anyone even knew about it the whole time either. The whole time since it "won" you left up Kiraware Matsuko no Issho and so one ever really looked at Double Kitchen, because it never ...

Well the purpose of the SoTW is to get seeds for a series that isn't seeded. It isn't really a contest to see what show is the most popular. Otherwise I'd always have Hana Yori Dango, Hana Kimi something, and any Johnny's type of show as the nominees. I wasn't suggesting to turn it into a popularit...

Why not just compile a list of all of the losers from the past few months that haven't been a sotw before and use those? Forget what's seeded or not. Even if a series appears to be seeded, people go on and offline all the time and often a "seeded" torrent takes weeks to finish, which is annoying. An...

This is a bit of a random question, but does anybody recognize where they filmed the part of episode 8 near the beginning with Miyama and Keita just as they've returned to Tokyo? The scenes I'm talking about take place from about 11:30 minutes to 14:30. I was just struck by how pretty and green that...

hmmm... I see some people wanting "Churasan" so bad... is it that good? I don't know how good it is, but I really liked the one asadora that got shown on my local TV station ("Wakaba"), and I like the little tiny easy-to-watch chunks that they come in; perfect for a busy schedule. *And* I...

Oooo! Churasan caught up a little bit! Go go! Only 14 more votes to catch up, then just a few more to win!

I actually thought Churasan would be winning by a landslide : /
*hugs* I know, right? It's so good. I'm still hoping that it can recover!

Awwwwwwwwwwh! Churasan doesn't stand a chance, does it? It was kind of unfair to put a pair of long dramas up against a pack of popular ones. =/ Sigh. Oh well... There's still lots of time left in the poll, and I will hope for a turnaround! :D Come one everyone, vote Churasan! It's AWESOME!

Would it be possible to nominate Chursan (the first series) as a Series of the Month (similar to how Trick 1-3 was done) at some point? It's a lovely series badly in need of some seeders. But because it's so long spread out among many torrents, a week doesn't seem long enough for it.

Kind of bumping this because it's currently the Japanese Series of the Week(s). This was one of the first dorama's that i watched, and seeing as the JSOTW inspired me to watch for a THIRD time. Yes, 3rd. It's definitely one of the best dramas I have ever seen. Not life-altering, but worth watching m...

Mada Koi wa Hajimaranai looks interesting to me, so I voted for that. I was torn between it and Koi wo Nannen Yasundemasu ka, actually.

Kiken na Aneki was really stupid. Like, beyond funny-stupid. Just stupid, imo. :| Ito Misaki is a terrible actress...
