Well i personally believe that Koki is a good actor. Not yet great, but good.
At least we see that he has confidence in himself to be the lead of the the drama and put on a good show

And yes, he wasn't over the top in "every" scene.

I think that Kurosagi is really good, and recommend it to everyone. I thought Kurosagi was bleh :roll :roll I'm really enjoying Liar Game right now. but will see how it ends. But for those who have seen Kurosagi, do check out Liar Game. I think you'll enjoy it, if not much more so then Kurosagi.

I'm glad Tanaka Koki's character in this drama is not the same as his in Tatta Hitotsu no Koi.
Rather his character has the similar characteristic of that from MBMH. Funny face, funny attitude

I don't know if you've seen Mukodono, but that one was pretty good.

Actually, Gokusen and Dragon Zakura are HEAVILY based on GTO ... GTO was one of the first really popular school dramas that led to the creation of the newer dramas that you see now. Its popularity set the school drama story "standards" and also gave producers an insight on what teens like...
