Re: I Need Some Help with a Youtube Issue
I can explain the three notifications. I'm not used to commenting on YouTube on my phone, so I accidentally commented three times, then deleted two. Yeah, hackers are horrible people. I had my email hacked once, just so the hackers could send spam to my contacts. Just make sure that you don't have t...

Re: Question about Unknown JDrama / Help Identify this Jdrama
Please help. In the current dorama Love Song, what are the songs that Sano Sakura sings on her live performance at the end of ep3? I know the last one is 500 miles, but she sings others before, looked like a meddley. 1、やさしさに包まれたなら/松任谷由実(荒井由実・ゆーみん) 2、Your Song/LOVE PSYCHEDELICO(ラブ サイケデリコ) 3、SummerTi...

Re: Asadora (NHK Morning Drama)
Just in case anyone is interested, Teru Teru Kazoku is being put up on Nyaa. I've been dying to watch it for years, but couldn't bring myself to watch the available version knowing episodes were missing. Since Toto Nee-chan hasn't shown up on Nyaa, I've been focused on downloading and watching it fr...

Re: Asadora (NHK Morning Drama)
Well originally "beppin" was a word used in commerce to denote a particularly high quality item for sell. It was later adopted to refer to particularly beautiful women. The creators of this drama say they are using the word not only in regards to the heroine's looks, but also in its origin...

Re: Asadora (NHK Morning Drama)
So I just looked at the NHK blog post about Beppin-san, to see what they say about it. They are holding auditions for the heroine now, they plan to decide and announce the actress sometime between February and April, and to begin filming in May. There is however quite a bit about the plot... It's a ...

Re: Asadora (NHK Morning Drama)
Sorry for my late response. Basically I presumed there was a bias with people preferring shows produced in their own region, but that the bias would be more pronounced in Kansai. Looking at the detailed ratings posted above, there does seem to be a bias, but they are nearly identical, or even slight...

Re: Asadora (NHK Morning Drama)
It seems we will get another successful Asadora: Asa ga Kita seems to be a hit with very good ratings, right now the average rating is 23.0% and it doesn't seem it will decline but rise (the highest episode rating was 27.2 for friday of week 10). It seems the ones I am least interested in always do...

Re: Asadora (NHK Morning Drama)
To add to that, after a general decline in ratings, dropping to 13.5% for Welkame in 2009, there has been mostly a rise in ratings. Hanako to Anne seems to be the highest amongst recent ones at 22.6, followed by Gochisousan at 22.4, according to the Japanese Wikipedia page.

Re: Asadora (NHK Morning Drama)
I want to thank xploring for that link to kamigami. They are now uploading CH/JP hardsubs of Mare. I fear they will likely fall behind, so if anyone knows of any streaming sites, or better yet, torrents of the raws, please do tell. The first week isn't even finished yet, so hopefully raws will start...

Well, I bookmarked this site some time ago, but I've never tried downloading any of the subs because I rarely watch anime.
http://kitsunekko.net/
Also, on Tokyo Toshokan, there are episodes from the group [Kamigami], that seem to always have Chinese and Japanese subs.

There are several hundred series with Japanese subs here. There is a subtitle index on the left of the main page here. Whether they will be timed to the specific raws you have is a potential problem, but lots of new series that get uploaded here have subs timed to them. Also there is a site that pos...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jg9sOOGDXZM It seems to have a nice visual look to it, which is my main complaint with Taira no Kiyomori, at least in the earlier episodes where they made everything look filthy dirty. But on the other hand I am worried about the strong accent they have Ayase Haruka sp...

... so it makes sense to spend the time to learn how to use them. I think that any person with basic Japanese literacy (JPLT n2 or better) should be able to navigate through the Chinese WWW sites. I'm pretty fluent in Japanese and I can mostly figure out these Chinese sites, but anything I find for...

Well first a couple of disclaimers. Manga/anime is an entirely different universe from drama, I imagine many drama fans have some interest but there are like a million places for that type of stuff so I won't really comment on it. Also I have no interest in anything Korean so I can't help there. Whi...

Well, I am not the best expert on this but... First, it shouldn't matter whether your computer is set to Japanese, that only deals with running programs, like games and such, that are in Japanese and don't support unicode. As a general rule, I would open it in Notepad instead of Wordpad and if you h...

@mikilove13. I guess you are referring to me saying their accents make me cringe. Yeah, I guess I have to admit, Paul was one of the better ones. But still, it's the sound of their voices, and not neccesarily their actual abilities, that bothers me. I am semi-fluent in Japanese, and I realize that I...

Ok, yeah, I also really thought Jack was the British guy. I think this show has totally messed up there stereotypes lol. Truth is, I don't really like any of these foreign actors very much, except for Jack, because he is the only one who's pronunciation doesn't make me cringe. Actually, I do have to...

Hello. an American here.. The funny thing to me was that that black guy is so clearly NOT an American. I don't know where he is from, but his accent in English is so strong I could barely understand it As far as the rudeness is concerned, I live in Georgia and everyone is generally nice and polite, ...
