Hmmm. I thought it looked a lot more like "Ninja Warrior" which has been airing on G4 for the last couple of seasons, and has developed a big following.

Japanese TV is big on Obstacle Course shows and "Ninja Warrior" ihas been the big boy on the block for quite a while now.

Shukan Maki Yoko

I was looking at the Fan Sub Map hoping to see that someone had volunteered to sub Shukan Maki Yoko ... only to discover that the show isn't even listed as one of the Spring 2008 dramas. Would someone... a moderator, or just someone who knows more about this stuff than I, add the show to the map? I'...

Boy, it's wonderful to see so many people so excited about Uchida Yuki's new series.

Can not wait.

Quick question for the folk at B.O.N. subs.

Will the subs be available here at d-addicts? Or will they only be posted at your club box?

Crosses the line? My goodness, he started running, got up to speed, and jumped over the line while shooting off roman candles and making a rude gesture at the line while he was going over it. He wanted to shock Rogan and Rogan's audience. And for all Joe Rogan's TV work, what with "News Radio&q...

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but that's not a private conversation Bobby Lee is having with Joe Rogan. Bobby knew he was being filmed. He wasn't acting, but he wasn't showing anyone the "real" Bobby Lee either. He was goofing. Get out more. Go to a comedy club and hang out near the comics...

I started watching this series because Nam Sang-mi was in it. And she's wonderful. Getting to watch her work would have been enough to keep me very happy. But once the show started I discovered Hyun Young and she's so beautiful I would have been happy to watch the show just for her. Then, as it went...

gryzze I think every episode has been interesting... Then you are having a lot more fun watching this show than I am... and I envy you for it. Like I said, I really like this cast. That's why I've watched so much of the show. I just don't find myself wondering, or at this point even wanting to know ...

Re: The lack of activity on a discussion thread for this show. What's to discuss? I started watching this show because I really enjoyed "Ame to Yume no Ato ni". I liked the cast, the stories, and I thought the kicker at the end was wonderful. But this show just seems sort of aimless to me....

Sexiest Japanese actress? That's easy. Hands down, it has to be Nakatani Miki . Or Yamaguchi Tomoko . Yeah, Miki or Tomoko. Or Uchida Yuki . Miki, Tomoko, or Yuki. Or the other Yuki, Nakama Yuki . And you can't leave out Shaku Yumiko . Man, that's some sexy girl. She and Yonekura Ryoko and Matsu Tak...

Happy Syttende Mai folks. I hope I spelled that right. It's Happy May 17th, which in my lifetime has been known at Norwegian Independance day... Norwegian Constitution Dan... and lately, simply, Norwegian Day. I grew up in Brooklyn New York and every May 17th my mom and grandma would make all of us ...

Okay, I'm all geeked up about the prospect of seeing Tomoko Yamaguchi in a new drama. But I'm still puzzled (annoyed) that they are gonna make a sequel to "Double Kitchen" called "Triple Kitchen" and though they got most of the original cast to come back... Tomoko isn't in it! Ev...

I much prefer hard subs. I much prefer watching TV on my TV, as opposed to the computer. So, when I get the opportunity, I download a hard subbed series, convert it to mpg, put it on DVD and watch it on a full sized TV set. Series that are soft subbed are simply watched, deleted, and forgotten. Sort...

1) How come in one episode, the teacher's t-shrit was all scribbled out and everyone was staring at it?? From what I understand, it was a contest in Japan when the show was first aired. The viewer who guessed what was on the T-Shirt won some sort of prize. 2) Is nudity allowed to be shown on air li...
