I don't really watch American dramas anymore, because most never seem to understand when to end. They start off great, and then drift into the realm of daytime drama's with never ending relationship swaps, shock moments, and cast changes. Some great dramas that went on too long: X-Files E.R. West Wi...

I don't know about weekly stats, but there is no such thing as an off-season in Japan. Especially for dramas and anime. There may be a week here or there where they don't air due to sports or other specials. Japan TV seasons correspond with the actual seasons, and usually air 12-13 episodes in the t...

I'm really enjoying this show... I wasn't so sure, since singer + drama doesn't necessarily always work out well, but this time it did. I love the banter between the two.

LOL, okay I edited the request for clarification. It's more a group recommendation than a personal one, I want to contribute more but don't know what to go looking for.

I didn't see a likely thread for J-TV recommendations, as compared to the dramas. But message received :salut:

Looking for something new to share

Hi all, (Editing for clarification) With an uncertain Ai no Apron future (I'm having no luck completing any show since late May), I'm looking for entirely new and different to share with the group. Is there a variety show (non-music, since Jpopsuki is probably a better forum for that) that you are h...

I am not aware of any list of episodes for the show. There is some information in the Japanese Wiki page, but only back to about 2004 and mainly who competed. I have a personal listing of the aired episodes back through 2003 (Which made up most of the Ai no Apron 3 series I believe and the current o...

Yay! I'm not the only fan of Best Ten. Ah for the days of Wink and Bakafu Slump and Hikaru Genji (roller-skating on top of Tokyo Tower no less  ) Music Station is pretty much it for me at the moment, though I will watch all the year end specials. CDTV's year-end really impressed me last year,...

Really odd issue, maybe nothing but figured I should post it. I've been uploading and downloading from the site for ages with no problem, but recently moved and have a new ISP. I am getting the following error in Bitcomet. I also get a similar tracker connection error in plain old vanilla BT Tracker...

I wouldn't say jpopsuki is no longer a source for the music shows, they've just lost one of their top uploaders. I know I'm going to do my part to at least supplement M-Sta if I can, but I don't have much in the way of reliable sources. This is why Ai no Apron has been so hard to upload on a regular...

Good news... the 7/12 Apron Boys episode finally showed up. I will be posting it shortly.

Still no signs of the latest two episodes, but the show is on a long break again. I will fill in with older episodes during those weeks or as long as I don't have new ones.

The series actually ends where the manga does, iirc. Haven't finished it yet, but yes there is a lot more to the manga and anime series. Both are good, but don't live up to the drama. The anime would have been better if not for the worst choice of music direction ever. They could bring in her childh...

[Discussion] Ai no Apron (Apron of Love)

Hi all, I wanted to go ahead and start a thread here, because I know there are a number of fans of the Ai no Apron series. Most of you are probably wondering... where are the latest episodes? I have not be able to get either the episode that aired on 7/12, or the one that aired on 7/26. I am more th...

I've not been listening to her for that long, only got back into the J-Pop scene earlier this year (last time I was really into it was the days of 'Top Ten', Wink and Hikaru Genji). I enjoy her singing style and music (plus the variety of styles that she has done over time). There is a certain elega...

Hmm... Well, I can say that art direction-wise it's not going to come close to Kare Kano. The early episodes are definitely the slowest-paced ones, the same holds true for Maison Ikkoku. The other thing that might make it seem a bit more bland, is that by this point in time, the stuff covered in thi...

I'd like to /wave hello too... New to the boards but not to all things Japanese. I'm the guy who used to bring 'live action' (horror) to my anime meetings back in the day. And I'm not talking Kamen Rider... I've been away for several years and just getting back into the swing of things. Glad I found...

I know what you mean, I was out of Japanese TV (anime or otherwise) for the longest time. Got dragged back sometime last year and for a while I thought it would be a brief return to anime only... Until I got hit with Densha Otoko and Ai no Epuron which has got me back into all Japanese TV again. Now...

I rented this show on a whim from Netflix and didn't regret it. In fact when they sent me a broken Disk number Two... I just went out and bought the set and all the manga I could find. Overall, I enjoy the manga better merely for the way more of the story is told... and Gainax always seems to run ou...
