Re: An introduction to and history of D-Addicts
And I'm also thrilled to see that D-Addicts has reached 20 years. There's now an incredible archive of subtitles for dramas spanning many decades (far more than 20-years old) and I still find subtitles for an old gem that I've never heard of. While the J-drama community has expanded to other platfor...

Agree with minispace. This is a shockingly bad layout that hurts the eyes.

Re: New active staff, forum rules, and new layout
On the transcribing of inactive fansubs poll question, I'm assuming "inactive" means someone who is long-gone from the scene where it's no longer possible to get their concurrence, as opposed to someone who (for whatever reason) posts their hardsubs on their own sites. I don't think it's a...

Re: New active staff and some other things
I definitely understand your viewpoint with respect to hardsubs and the general hypocracy involved. I agree with you in the instance of old hardsubbed files where the original subtitler is long gone from the scene. But, I worry greatly of the consequences if d-addicts provides a venue for transcribe...

Re: New active staff and some other things
In response to #1, yes, there should be more moderators. There used to be others, but they've apparently lost interest or drifted away, as often happens at fan-supported sites. I'm troubled with the hardsub issue. To transcribe and improve subtitles that an active fansubber has made available as har...

Is Dark Angel gone?
I'm not quite sure if this is the correct forum area for this issue. I just checked the DoA raws website on Naver (leeyj80) and I saw that the owner took all of their files offline because of copyright concerns from the Naver administrators. Does anyone know if the website is gone for good? This sit...

Open registration is currently available on AvistaZ, I didn't see any info on how long this will be available.

Enoshima day trip
Inspired by all of the dramas and movies filmed in the Kanagawa region, my wife and I took a day trip to Enoshima during our last Tokyo visit in March 2017. Here are some pics from the Enoden rail line, a view of Enoshima, and the amazing aquarium.
