Thanks very much to the Heiwa Fansub for picking up this drama and doing top rate work, as usual, on the subs. otsukaresama desu!

This is turning out to be a pretty good series, with things shaping up nicely for the remainder of the drama. I'm liking it.

Yanie, everyone has their own interpretation of what is comedy, what is drama, what is romance, what is a human drama. The initial poster asked a very open ended question without specifying she or he was looking for. You have your opinion and interpretation of what romance is. Others have theirs. In...

Lots to choose from ...

Off the top of my head, here's my favorites in no particular order. I just listed them by the year they came out (or thereabouts). Long Vacation (1996), Love Generation (1997), Great Teacher Onizuka (1998), Yamato Nadeshiko (2000), Mukudono! (2001 version), Hero (2001, SP, and movie), Densha Otoko (...

Very well done mystery ...

I, for one, am enjoying this series a lot. As Chuks noted, this is a human drama with each episode a minor mystery wrapped in the larger murder mystery. If you're looking for car crashes, explosions, lots of blood, and murder cases solved in 46 minutes (stuff you don't usually see in everyday real l...

Chuks: Great high quality subs once again. Impeccable QC. And thanks for the side explanations. I learned something new.

Great to see Abe Hiroshi and Natsukawa Yui reunited in this episode. They were terrific together in Kekkon Dekinai Otoko.

Just finished Episode 1. A very good start to the series and I was quite impressed with Abe and all the top notch actors in this drama. Chuks, thanks for the high quality subs. arigatou! On the first pass, I only saw three minor typos. Otherwise, had no issues with the timing of the subs or the colo...

I agree about Jdorama. Its not that accurate and no real reviews on recent dramas. Any other suggestions? Thanks btw for replying you guys. 8thSin, whose translation work is absolutely impeccable, has a page on this site that might help you. There's evaluations of Japanese dramas as well as Japanes...

A while ago I posted a question if it would be possible for the Golden Era (1990s) dramas to come back . I take your and Groink's point (I guess I wasn't the only one thinking about the economy ...lol). Maybe, the Golden Era of the '90s was just that ... the Golden years of Jdorama where the shows ...

I can't help but think that the Japanese economy has something to do with it too. Let's face it. This is the television entertainment business. You need $$$ to hire the good scriptwriters, directors, actors, actresses, musicians/artists (for theme song), etc., to make a good series. A good series br...

Episode 6

Just finished watching the subbed version of Ep 6. Did anyone notice the music played during a couple of points that sure sounded like something from "Heroes" (U.S. series)? Another small detail. They don't use those kinds of polygraph machines anymore ... it's all recorded on a laptop com...

Totally agree with Sparky. Here in Canada, Sapporo is brewed under license but, in restaurants, you pay through the nose for a large can.

In Japan, I particularly enjoyed Yebisu as well as the seasonal specialty beers each brewery makes that you find in the grocery stores.
