The two specials: http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_29729.htm http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_27428.htm Rokubanme no Sayoko was a tv series where Kuriyama played alongside Suzuki An. Kuriyama played Sayoko, who returns to the same school every so often in a couple of years (I think e...

History (not just books, but more the going out in the field and dig through old bunkers type), photography, aviation (vintage aircraft mainly), travelling, horseback riding (dressage, I can't jump, my style is horrible, and I barely have time these days anymore), and, most importantly, learning Jap...

From my understanding, and the way I see it... if my GF would cheat on me, well... I'd walk out on her. I expect loyalty from my partner, simply because I would be loyal towards her, too. If she'd cheat on me, well, I'd say that she would want it that way, so she and the guy she cheated with can be ...

Neon Genesis Evangelion , though casting Ayanami Rei would be a **** (Kuriyama Chiaki, the younger one of the Maeda Sisters or Suzuki An maybe, or wait a few years until Fukuda Mayuko is old enough (given her performances so far she'd be one SCARY Rei)). There is, apparently a western movie based o...

I wouldn't really say "Chinese-style martial arts effects". There has been plenty of flying and other things along that line in Japanese movies before, like in "Azumi" or "Red Shadow", or lots of dodging and deflecting arrows in "Kozure Okami" back in the 70s. You have a lot of flying in basically e...

I still think Kill Bill was her weakest performance ever. Not her fault though, playing a character with the charisma of a postbox (thank you Tarantino, team up with George Lucas) can only lead to feeble results.

Now Mizuki in Kagen no Tsuki, yep, that's a great performance by her.

The special edition was sold out extremely fast. It had the theatrical cut on DVD, the director's cut on DVD and a special VHS tape with the title song by HYDE. (still nothing compared to Linda Linda Linda where the initial pressing with all the goodies was sold out within 3 weeks)
