I would suggest Prosecutor Princess. The lead character is hardly down on her luck...

But if you are looking for light escapism without strong emotional moments I would say you are looking in wrong place all together.

I save everything as though I am stocking media up for the end of life as we know it or something.

With that in mind I have all my dramas in 6 or so of those 144 slot CD/DVD books and a spreadsheet so I know where to find everything.
