I'm pleased the discussion here is off to a good start. Let me throw in my first two cents. There are many things I can say about that first episode but the aspect that struck me hardest is that it felt very much a searing indictment of menfolk in general. The show's premise has the makings of a vey complex and fascinating love triangle. I have a hunch that the writers intend to add their own twist to the usual menage between one man and two women by reversing the gender roles between Ueno Juri and Eita. Her occupation is as butch as his is fey, and t...

Thank you all for helping me out. Though I havent seen #9, I gather that despite all the changes Ken made, Rei still delivered the smack down line to him. Does this mean she's using the same words but talking about something else, or is it still the same thing that Kenzou did not understand the firs...

What I think is that episode 11 will require Ken to act in the present time --- possibly at the wedding-reception right there. I know they already exchanged vows; but hey, if there's one lesson the fairy is trying to teach Ken, it's that all assumptions and dispositions must be discarded to go afte...

@ joeboygo you bring up a good point that yes, it is a fairy tale...or a pseudo-fairy tale. i, however, am starting to see more Aesopica characteristics rather than fairy tale here. Before every time slip, the fairy tells Ken what he should try and do, ken time slips and during his time there, lear...

1. Lunargen 2. kilaalaa I am guilty as charged. HAHAHA Now Lunargen, are you going to plead innocence? At least you're not also competing for "Denial Queen" :P Just one more week, and you'll again be dancing in romantic comedy nirvana. * crosses fingers * fastat3m: Good point bro. I perso...

i, too, used to believe in the-so-called happy ending, but do you think an "ends justifies the means" ending is any better than a "learn by another's mistake's" ending? If this wasn't a fairy tale I might buy into your theory a litlle bit. But this IS a fairy tale. You know how ...

aatm: O ye of little faith. Do you honestly believe the message this show is going to send to its target mass audience is "give up and accept defeat?" Tsk tsk. Such an unconventional ending is extremely difficult to pull off in a way that would satisfy the average viewer. That's why that s...

For those who care about this stuff, ratings for episode 9 declined from last week. It scored just 18.1%, which is only, oh, five or six points ahead of its nearest competitor for the week. So my prediction was wrong. But who wants to bet episode 10 will crack 20%?

refresh....refresh...refresh.. Graymouse, just a suggestion for people that don't want to click spoilers. Could you include a Graymouse "mood meter" to indicate how you are feeling at that point of the show? The smileys would work well. From :D for happiest, :-) for happy, :-( sad, to :cry...

Graymouse: It'd be really cool if you could stay on-line during the broadcast and give us a live blow-by-blow during the commercial breaks. I know you still struggle with the Nihon-go but I'm more interested in seeing how your mood swings throughout the show. I'm expecting the "bounce" to ...

Just a curious observation: At the beginning of episode 8, the fairy quoted Abraham Lincoln as ?????????????????????????????????????????? which can be translated as "I am not concerned that you have fallen. I am concerned that you arise from it." However, I googled it up and the actual qu...

since it's quite long i'll just spoiler it. @joeboygo - In episode 2 or 3 the yosei to made reference to the "Graduate" and warned Ken not to get involved in that kind of scam. So I don't think the fairy will have anything to do with that kind of ending. i considered that fact about the G...

now THAT was a spoiler. hahah just from those photos alone you can infer already what's gonna happen in the end. oh well ahahaha. so it could be an eri tsuru wedding after all. BUT WAIT. see how pi and masami are dressed. Pi's in a black tux and masami's in a simple dress.. for all we know, they li...
