I don't think you stay with host families on study abroads...or do you? You usually stay with a host family if its a high school level exchange, since I doubt they let you stay by yourself. At the university level it might be a dorm, or some private apartment housing. Depends on the university you ...

As spacecommand has said, at a University Level for Study Abroad, most Japanese Universities do require a minimum of 1 semester of University study before they consider taking you in. I'm planning to study abroad for a year in Japan next year with my university, as I'm currently a first year student...

Im currently studying Japanese this semester and most probably next semester at University. This semester is a double credit point class as it covers 2 semester's worth of work in 1 semester. Anyway, next year I can study my degree abroad in Japan at one of 43 'sister' universities. The information ...

I too am after guitar tabs for j-pop and j-rock songs and bands. Cause of their small fan base in America not many people bother with tabbing them, so your best bet is picking up your guitar and strumming random chords and notes and hope it hits the same tune. That is unless you find their song scor...

surrealistic-destiny: haha! Just what I used to do and am currently doing... Bit of self taught during my latter high school years and now I am starting my semester of Uni and currently selecting Japanese as my language major (with Korean or Chinese as my secondary). Just a week away until my uni se...

For me, I was caught up in the anime craze for quite a while. Then I stumbled upon Mognet somehow and they were currently hard subbing Nobuta wo Produce, After watching the 2 or so episodes they released I was hooked. Soo much better than anime (and now no longer watches it) and immediately google'd...

I know what people mean when you stay in a country for a long period that you pick up the language and turn out fluent in no time. My friend only went there for a year not knowing Japanese at all, and ended up being fluent after only 3 months... He had a little trouble in their school not understand...

My first drama was Nobuta wo Produce. This rocked and got hooked on to it right after episode 1. The ending was not too bad either and I liked it how Shuuji and Nobuko/Nobuta used Kusano's 'kon' gimmick after a while too. I love Tomohisa Yamashita's acting~! Starting my second drama now. Shimokita G...

Hi~ Im a new member and am glad that I found this nice place on the web. The wonders of J-Drama definitely surpass the drama in anime and manga that I've been reading/watching. I've just enjoyed watching through Nobuta wo Produce (which I acidentally downloaded) and found that it was quite interesti...
