Re: RECOMMENDED/FAVORITE JDRAMAS (ask for suggestions here)
i think of wakako zake as the female version of kodoku no gurume. they are both excellent, quiet, low-stress series [at least up to kng 4 and wz 2]. except for when wakako throws her boyfriend into the refrigerator . which is not as stressful as it sounds but completely uncalled for. maybe italian f...

Re: [Discussion] Long Vacation
I wonder what makes something have a classic feel. Is it just that it was one I watched a long time ago? Or as in LV because it launched all those acting careers? Or because it had a specific feel? Or because of its music? Or popular? I just watched a few episodes of Yamato Nadeshiko (jem) and it fe...

Re: [Question] Is this scene dying?
i sure am grateful to all the people who make fansubbed jdrama possible. unlike anime, i usually can't navigate the jdrama synopses, viable raws, matched subs, and so on from many sources. also, i can't deal with registering various places and trying to get adfly or megawhatever to actually produce ...

i had abp, but it never worked either. now i use ublock origin, which is much faster.
(but still doesn't get me the torrents.)
i am not sure if the greasemonkey is ok to install on this computer, but i will look into it.

furransu's site does not work for me (ever)
i am pleased that d-addicts is still going strong. i have not been able to use it because i have never been able to get torrents from furransu's site. most subtitles are linked to furransu's site, and that absolutely, positively never works for me. perhaps it's because i use linux, but firefox and c...

Re: CloudFlare

NAT fine, but not showing any seeds even though they exist
Discussion on http://www.d-addicts.com/forums/viewtop ... 61#1531161 .
An ep is being seeded, but it shows as having zero seeds. I am curious how this can happen.
Of course I am not firewalled (NAT OK), and I am connected to DHT etc.

Interesting how both of you concluded that it is a hardware issue. I don't think it is. All video players perform scaling, else small monitors would never work. Consider how you can show a video in a small window. The size of the monitor is probably irrelevant. I only mentioned it for completeness. ...

Cannot play any 1280x720 dramas with any players
I did read the FAQ. :) For a long time, I have noticed that certain video files truncate the right side or cause video players to crash or fail to play the file. The following media players on linux fail to play any of these files: mplayer, totem, aviplay, codeine, ffplay, gxine, beep-media-player, ...

that line perplexed me, but only for a second. i didn't read the manga, but here is my interpretation of the drama. western culture might be making us overlook it somewhat. this is a drama, told *from the perspective of the victim*, about self-esteem. rika was emotionally abused. this is the *centra...

since you are asking for preferences, here are mine. my preference #1: any format that is an open standard. wmv is not. my preference #2: small files. jtv often releases great quality in only 350 MB, and 2 of those fit on a CD. even the recent ainori is a complete episode in 186 MB with nice quality...
