The difference between BitTorrent and all the alternatives I rattled off earlier is that BitTorrent REQUIRES the user to upload. THAT'S what is slowing Frej down. If he didn't have to upload a single byte, then he would be downloading much quicker. The cause of BT being slow is that your download is...

Re: Too large drama files

You can choose not to watch you know which is my exact point here! If this was 1998, then sure there weren't that many sources for dramas. And broadband was just in its infancy. But this is 2008. I have no sympathy for capped people. There are alternative means of obtaining dramas, including: - sna...

For the record, I totally stand behind what I said earlier - word for word. The poster has been a member since February 2008. As Super Chicken would say, "You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Frej!" You moderators don't like it? Disable my account. I'm serious.

More likely it aired on KIKU-TV channel 13 during the 1970s. Check out: http://www.kikutv.com/ and post on the message board there. There are some old-timers there who still remember way back when. Also, Joanne Ninomiya was there at that time as the general manager, so she might know something about...

The thing about building a HTPC is that: 1. It must be very small (laptop size at the most) 2. It must be quiet 3. It must produce very little heat (the Playstation 3 is like an Easy Bake Oven!) The smallest I've seen thus far is Hewlett-Packard's multimedia PCs. But even they're somewhat large in s...

You must look at the prices as well. Something like a 16-episode series for under US$10.00 is IMHO flaming bootleg. Prices for legit DVDs should be over US$50.00.

If there's nothing wrong with the tracker, then what is blocking the torrent? It may not be a block. Did you check routing? 1. Ping d-addicts.net . It should resolve to 89.149.226.119 2. Do a tracert to 89.149.226.119 (d-addicts.net) and see if all the hops are successful. If at some point the trac...

Tracker is definitely not down. If it was, we would be flooded with MANY more posts regarding the tracker. One of the rules-of-thumb about the Internet: If no one else is discussing it, then it must be a localized problem.

is there any why to keep the files size 700mb or lower? Resolution and speed (bps) settings have a play on the file size. This is set in the video codec. You need to tweak one or both these settings. Only trial and error can tell you what the best settings would be. There are calculators out there ...
