Japanese SoTW Poll - 11/27/05 - Suekko chonan ane sannin

Post by mizune » Nov 13th, '05, 19:16

Hi everyone!

It's that time again! It looks like we're still ironing out the kinks in the system, but I think we might finally be getting the swing of things... Uh, just in case though, please be understanding should any hiccups happen (again) along the way.

Much thanks to everyone for seeding the current JSoTW (Wedding Planner)! If you wish to volunteer seed any Japanese series, please head over to JSOTW: Looking for volunteer seeders thread. FYI, This week's nominees were all selected from the aforementioned volunteer seeders thread. :thumright:
Thanks for your support! :)

In the now immortal words of thetenken........

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU MAY BE LIABLE TO THETENKEN'S EXPRESSIONS OF DISPLEASURE.

Taking nominations for the next series of the week. Let me know what you want to add to the poll and I'll add it. From this point forward only series that have a volunteer seeder will be put up into the poll. People can nominate whatever they want, but the series won't become a poll option until there is a volunteer seeder...

PLEASE NOMINATE AND VOTE ONLY FOR THE DRAMAS OFF THE COMPLETED DRAMAS LIST:
http://www.d-addicts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3500
(06/14/2004: As of this date, the Series of the Week is now officially only Japanese dramas with English subtitles.)

The nominees are:

Suekko chounan ane san nin - http://jdorama.com/drama.795.htm
Hyakunen no monogatari - http://jdorama.com/drama.506.htm
Ryuuten no Ouhi - Saigo no Koutei - http://jdorama.com/drama.794.htm
Beach Boys - http://jdorama.com/drama.35.htm

(I know some of you were trying to organize an independent reseeding of Hyakunen no monogatari, but since I still don't see any seeds for it, it's back again... :whistling:)

Previous Japanese Series of the Week:
Oyaji, Otousan, Koi ga Shitai x3 (Where is Love?), Strawberry on the Shortcake (S.O.S.), Cheap Love, Big Wing, Hotman, Sutaa no Koi, From the Heart, Love Generation, A Sleeping Forest, Story of One Century, Friends, Younger Men, Merry Christmas in Summer, Shota no Sushi, Koibumi/Love Letter, Waterboys, Aoi Tori (Bluebird), Meguri Ai, Konna Koi no Hanashi, One Million Stars Falling From the Sky, News no Onna, Mukodono/My Husband, Food Fight, Heaven's Coins/Hoshi no Kinka, Forbidden Love, My Little Chef, With Love, Shopping Hero, Stand Up!!, 101st Marriage Proposal, Seija no Koushin, Maria/Mariya, Asunaro Hakusho, Summer Snow, Pretty Girls, Trick 1/2/3 (JSoTM), Itsumo Futari De, Tokyo Wankei, Denchi ga kireru made, Koi ga shitai (DVD)

What is a series of the week? More Info Here
Since there are now a substantial number of torrents on this site, we have implemented a "Series of the Week," where we could dedicate most of the bandwidth to a particular series during that week. This helps in a couple of ways:

1. People will know what series are available and have seeds, rather than just waiting and hoping for them to be seeded at some later date.

2. For those seeders who have DVD burners and have already burnt their collections to DVD/CD, then with the series of the week they know which series can be pulled off of DVD to help seed, minimizing troublesome multiple DVD loading.

3. Constantly re-circulates older torrents back into view, and focuses bandwidth and demand toward those specific torrents, rather than having people request series across the board.

Remember, D-Addicts was started for the community, and being a part of the community means sharing. If you don't share, then everyone loses (refer to JEM's dropping of Cdramas), and a good thing open to all may become a private party.

We take no responsibility for deleting poll entries if there are no seeds. No complaints, as this is a community effort. If the community doesn't want to share, then oh well...

Reminder: You must have at least 10 posts to vote. Go on, kiddies... explore the forum a bit... :)

Wow, I didn't think anybody would actually notice that.... o_o;;;
I had to hijack that space in the script to put in a link for ep 8 that isn't available at jem's...
Since none of the other SoTW uses the "vote next series" I thought nobody would notice for a couple weeks... :whistling:

"Suekko chonan ane sannin" onegai itashimasu! m-O-m

I also humbly request that:

"Koi wo nan nen sundemasu ka?" (http://jdorama.com/drama.587.htm)
(search torrents for "Dreams of Romance")

be nominated for a subsequent SOTW if any gracious volunteers are around to seed it. I don't know why it isn't included in the list of completed dramas since it does appear to have been completed (and there were a couple specials as well!).

With 55 users in the swarm and no seeds . . . your concern was right on target.
With series lumped into one or two torrents, it takes even longer to complete.
So, is anyone offering odds on how many will actually be able to download this?

I understand that the SOTW was only just announced, and that only one person is seeding so far, and that the pace of downloading will pick up dramatically when more arrive, and that until that happens everyone will be stuck at nearly the same percentage completed… or rather, that they should all be stuck at the same percentage. That's how it's supposed to work, anyway.

What I don't understand is why the top 30 or so leechers at this moment all have noticeably greater percentages completed than everyone else, yet all but one of them have absolutely abysmal ratios.

Cutting off all your upload is just rude, NĒ?

Okay everybody, after severely crippling my internet connection seeding this thing for the past couple days, I'm planning to stop late tonight or tomorrow morning once some new seeds sprout. Please be kind to your peers and help the others out once you're finished.

And thanks to whoever got the ball rolling on ep 5.... That probably saved me another day of uploading... ^_^;

Post by doc_tomoe » Dec 3rd, '05, 01:21

So .. If anyone got complete files
of Suekko Chonan Ane Sannin ep 03, 04 , 06 ,07, 08 ,09 ,10

Please send em to me (100mbit) so i can insert em into my torrent upload and seed it for all of us 700+ people who just can't finnish even if there seem to be seeders (tracker seems to report 4 seeders, but everybody's just stuck at 64,9% or something)

Since I'm going to be out most of this weekend (and don't need to take my computer), I'll be seeding the batch torrent again... My problem is that when I seed on this connection, I really can't do anything else on my computer (it completely slows my system down to a crawl... I never had that problem with my old internet connection... ;_; )
I don't know what's up with those seeds listed on the tracker or even the guys listed at 99.9%.... Their ratios are *miserable*....
I wonder if they're leechers who're trying to trick BT or something.... Anyhow...

Please continue to help out by seeding as long as you can once you're finished!

This was my first exposure to the great and funny actress Eri Fukatsu. Definitely one of my favorite dramas.

Thanks to everybody who helped seed this series. It would be a great help to the stragglers if those who downloaded this series could continue to seed as long as possible (especially since the torrent is so lage)...
