yay!:) Hello to everyone. :)

I'm proud to be a Filipino. *go Pinoy* :D Yeah, I am from the Republic of the Philippines. :)
And so, of course, I can speak Tagalog as well as English. Btw for those who doesn't know, our second language is English so almost all of the Filipinos can speak fluently in it. As early as pre school, we are encourage to use English as a medium. :)

Anyway, due to my addiction to Asian dramas(since 2003), I was able to learn how to read Hangul or the Korean characters. :D I started to self-study reading the Hangul last 2005 but due to my busy schedule, I wasn't able to learn how to speak. Still, I have plans to learn speaking it after I finished my studies.

I'm also trying to learn Nihonggo or Japanese. XD

I hope that I can speak fluently in Korean and Japanese in the near future. :D

That's all! Have a nice day everyone! :)

ja ne! :)

I can pick up a bit Japanese (due to anime/jdrama) and going to re-learn katakana and hiragana this coming semester (I tried to teach myself, but I stopped for some reason) But yeah.... lalala ^_^

But I forgot a lot during the year I lived in China =) At least I speak Chinese now... still have to work a lot on my writing and reading though.

I'm German too. So speaking german goes without saying. But I'm half German half iraqui. I could speak iraqui when I was little. But not anymore..
I know English very well and I used to study French too. But I almost forgot about it.
Currently I'm studying Japanese by myself. But only the verbal things. Do you know a good way to study the writings without going to a school?
I'm really interested in chinese too. But I want to learn japanese first. Later on i'll go for chinese, that's what i wish.

I so wanna take up Japanese again. But improving (or at least not forgetting) my Chinese goes first at the moment, since learning the characters was and still is hard, and forgetting them happens so quickly.
The most important thing is to keep the language close somehow. With written Chinese or Japanese this certainly is quite difficult (if you don't happen to live there). I read books in Chinese, but of course you need some kind of basis to do that.
If it's Japanese we're talking about, then learning Hiragana and Katakana shouldn't take that long. Of course, you can't avoid Kanji. Just buy a book to study I guess.

Ah, and watching movies, shows, whatever with the original languages' subs can be good practice.

I'm Filipino. :) Or rather, Filipina, as I'm a girl. :p

I can speak our native tongue, naturally, and is also fluent in English (I think, lol). I speak very little Japanese, just a few phrases because my dad used to study nihonggo when my brother and I were little and so we have all these japanese books scattered around and I would read them and try to memorize them, so yeah. :)

Oh! And also, I found out that I can do accents well. Like when trying to speak different languages, I can say them out almost perfectly. Haha. Sweeeeeet. BUt I only know some phrases of Korean, Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin or whatever, I'm sorry I don't know the differences of those Chinese languages).

Lol, I typed a lot! First post at d-addicts! ^_^

Hi... I'm Filipino well with some chinese blood i guess since my grand parents on both my mom and dad side are half and half.

i know how to speak of course Filipino specifically tagalog. I'm fluent in English because it's our second language. I also work in a company which deals with foreign nationals everyday so it's a big plus factor.

I know a little Chinese because of my grandma who can speak both Mandarin and Fukien.

i started studying Japanese in high school because of my sheer fascination of manga and animes. Still studying it though... don't really get to use it much.

i know a little Korean because I had classmates in elementary and high school who are Koreans.

I'm currently trying to study Italian and French.
