I am spanish, I live in the North Coast of Spain. So I can speak spanish fluently!
I speak fluently english because of my work, and I can understand a little of Japanese (can read without problems, but then I need a great dictionary to know the mean of words, jejejeeje). I can read Italian and French, but can´t speak them. And I am trying to learn Korean... perhaps in the future I will be able to speak it!!!

I'm from the states.
Reading through the posts here, I'm amazed at the diversity of nationalities represented here. I'm also impressed at everyone's proficiency in English (as a second language), and more than a little embarrassed at my own mono-linguicity. (Yeah, I know that's not a word.)

pretty much completely fluent in both english and korean
somewhat proficient enough in japanese to understnad the basis gist without subtitles. although subtitles are preferred since i dont get the technical jargon. plus my reading and writing sucks since my kanji knowledge is bad. but i'm still studying so hopefully i'll get better.
learned mandarin and french but pretty much dont remember much of it....

I live in Canada, I usually refer to myself as French Croatian, My father is French-Canadian and Polish, My mother is Croatian. I speak English, and French, though I'm semi-fluent in Japanese, Croatian, and Spanish. I'm also fairly fluent in Latin though the conjugations tend to mess with me, it's an occupational hazard from studying Chemistry. A friend of mine is intending to teach me Korean, I'm very excited about that.

I am Canadian. English and French are both my native languages. I know enough German to watch german TV or watch a jdorama with german substitles. Learning japanese ( beginner level - about 300 Kanji and basic vocabulary, finding easier to understand and read it than to speak it)

I look Chinese, but can't speak anything but English, being born in Aust.
Once at Hongkers airport, someone left something at the food counter, and the worker called out something in Canto and looked at me. I just looked confused, and the Indian looking guy next to me called the person back in perfect Canto! He said he as born in Hongkers, maybe that was you?

The more truthful answer takes a while:
part afro-caribbean, part Indian, part Chinese, part Cuban, Part English, part Arawak Indian .......the list goes on
I can speak english, spanish and really crap french.
