I wish I could play the piano, I'd like to do that to de-stress. Punch bag is pretty effective sometimes though.

There are several things I like to do:

1. Take a drive or walk while listening to slow relaxing music.
2. Go shopping
3. Read
4. Go get a massage
5. I can bake, but if you can't you could go to a bakery!
6. Going to the beach

put on my headphones and play my music as loud as I can without going deaf
walking the dogs helps too, provided there aren't a lot of neighbors out doing things, since Buddy tends to drag me out into the street to get hit by cars

doing something would that interests you, or something that you're probably good at will definitely keep your off the thing that stresses your out. it would be nice to let all your emotions out. one thing that you can do also. get a relaxing bath, probably with some bath salts. works for me.

So I just usually just duke it out with a punching bag and/or practice kendo.

I drink hard liquor to de-stress. I'm sure I'll regret this habit later in life.

I eat my favourites, tell my Best friend about it, and then I'll watch movies or so. Any category.. as long as it fits the mood. 8)

All in queue :
1) pick out your favorite drama/movie :D
2) put on your favorite clothes - or the ones you feel most comfortable in :P
3) make something really *Oishii* for dinner
4) watch the drama/movie you picked out earlier while eating the yummy meal you made :w00t:
5) when the drama/movie has ended and there´s no food anymore - understand that: "This kind of little stress can´t break me! I am much better than this :D Everything that doesn´t kill, makes stronger :w00t: "
6) plan how to work out the difficulties your having :-)
7) get some sleep and leave everything for tomorrow (cleaning and fulfilling your new plans) :P

Aside from the sewing I'd partake any of those bi weekly.

I usually do something that takes my complete focus to “let off some steam”. Sometimes that is playing computer (firing up Day of Defeat or wrecking havoc on my computer opponent in a real time strategy game). Or there is the golden oldie, reading a book; it can’t be a serious, thinking book though. It takes a fiction story that draws me far enough into the story in order to ignore the outside world. Exercise is good, too. :D

I like to be at the barn. Or just be around fuzzy animals, in general. <3

Or, if that's not an option, I play old favorite childhood shows like Golden Girls, Xena, Sailor Moon, Rugrats, or Hey Arnold.

It depends on the kind of stress which I got. If it is a serious stuff, and I really understand that I cannot do anything to change the situation, I start working a lot. Much work plus workout…plus a happy pill (it also helps) and I forget a bit about trouble
