^ I believe the subs for stand up DVD version are just about to come out since Jisatsu already said that there are people working on it.

I'm going to have to go for Gokusen, but GTO was also good.

I like Gokusen more than GTO because it has better story and better student actors.

However, I find that Joou no Kyoushitsu blows these two 'masterpieces' away....

GTO by far. To me Gokusen is a poor man's GTO. Gokusen tries too hard to be funny that sometimes it comes off as unnatural. GTO on the other hand isn't forced and seems to have a smoother, better flow in terms of comedy and drama.

GTO all the way. The kids at school was smarter and more of a badass than Gokusen.

kyaaa, how can you make me choose.
GTO gives a much more inspirational vibe into the drama. The Kids are much more smart too
BUT Gokusen has millions of HAWT talented young guys

can't choose

i thought they were equally great but then MatsuJun and Shun were on the first season of Gokusen and then there's Akame from season two...

i loved GTO first though.
Gokusen rocked and it still does. :P

i like gokusen more. i love gto manga a little more than gokusen, but the drama is really boring for me. I got so bore by the end of it. But gokusen is a ltitle better, probably due to the relationship of shinkumi which i love alot. Hope if they do gokusen 3, shinkumi can develop more. no shin, i rather not watch it since i only like gokusen 1, gokusen 2 is repeative of it and it boring. not even pretty boy can even kept me watching.

Well. I completed Gto (anime drama and Shonan Gumi), rregarding the drama i have to say that I liked it far more than Gokusen drama.
Gto has this heroic feeling of justice to it, Gokusen despite being also around the heroic feeling, has these really dorkie moments and shots that take a somewhat serious feeling that it may have,
On top of that Gto has this killer ost, for gokusen I could say that only "Feel yor breeze" by v6 makes the cut.
Gto I remeber it dearly, gokusen its just another drama

I like Gokusen the first season is the better one out of the two, but I prefer GTO,

I'd say Gokusen is better than GTO with the drama

I loved the comics GTO but when they did the drama I wasn't too impressed..

I thought Gokusen was a direct ripoff of GTO. I'll go with GTO for originality. To be fair though, I didn't finish Gokusen because I wasn't feelin' it. So maybe it got better. Dunno.

i prefer gto because of how "realistic" it can be. even though both are manga based.

but i both love the dramas ;)

I liked Gokusen more than GTO.

GTO was one of the very first dramas I ever watched, but it barely captured me. While it had interesting plotline as compared to Gokusen's 'lets stick to almost the same situations', it didn't capture me as much. And no, it's not because the guys in Gokusen were hotter.

For me, GTO just seemed to bounce around a lot. Some resolution for some characters equals pretty much everyone going, "Yeah, let's do that!"

For Gokusen it was more of an individual basis. But that's most likely because they focused on less characters.

Plus, I liked the Gokusen manga more.
