How do you like Kiken na Aneki? Did Itoh Misaki surpass expectations after her success in Densha Otoko?

She does give a nice feeling. In the interviews, they all agreed that this character is much more like her real personality, and that's maybe why she can play it so well. I really enjoy that people are drawn to her, yes because she is pretty, but also because she is so open and caring. It is also really funny to watch her be "transformed" into a pretty city girl instead of a "pretty bumpkin"--because Itou Misaki is pretty much gorgeous anyway you slice 'er!!!

They were really stretching this one thin, hahaha. Though, the drama itself, I am not sure where they are headed with the point of brother-sister relationships...

After watching the first episode, I definitely want to see the following ones ! It's really the kind of drama that sometimes deals most improbable funny situations (seems I'm not able to express myself correctly in English...

Nah..it's not so much bout her in Densha

. She has a totally different personality in this drama. She is much more talkative n so on

. She is however not emotional enough when she fights with her bro

Well, at least he redeemed himself by defending her later. I suppose it's early in the story too, and he'll probably lighten up as the series moves along.

haha..it feels weird watching itoh misaki in her role as a protective super sis after watching her as Hermes-san in densha....i have only watched the first episode and its so fast that yutaroo started to change his perception on her sis after a lot of ppl talked to him....hmn...i think there are more suprises to come in the coming episodes...

p.s waiting eagerly for the second episode subs to come out...lol

poor Hiroko... but there is good to show how could really siblings live ... not ideal like in hollywod movies where everybody are happy, nice family relationships and so on...

Tao Libra reminds me of Densha. Remember how the ojiisan was abusing Hermes with words and Densha got into a fight with him? Haha... Except beating up a girl's little brother won't be the best way to leave a good impression.

I agreed with peterxx about this vs the ideal hollywood relationships. It is more realistic in a way...Who doesn't fight/argue with their sibling/s? (Of course there are exceptionals but...eh, they are rare?)

If this is more like Itoh-san is like in real life I hope it is the open helpful smilie parts and not the wide-eyed empty headed sides... She seemed to be quite deep in "Densha" but here she seems more happy go lucky kind of person. Let's hope she develops some depth as the episodes moves on.

Her brother, what the *bleep* is wrong with him? His father dies and all he can come up with is "I wouldn't have been able to go to the funeral anyway", man that is some sick relationship. When it comes to Murai's acting it seems like he had been dealt the bumbling fool role like in "Last Christmas" again. And his mentor... What a dope

Well, I have only seen the first 2 yet and it seems promising for sure. The sister is surely trying to do her best to make everybody's lives easier, on the other hand, will she be able to keep up and pay off the Yakuza or will they rough up the brother? The suspense...

I really like this drama! It's one of my favorites so far. I know everyone is going to hate me but, Yutaro (her brother) is so cool! He studies so much and tries his best. About the relationship between the two of them, I don't think it's right that he yells at her alot, but, who wouldn't get mad if your sister suddenly came to live with you while you were studying? I mean, he has everyright to get mad regardless of how "cute" she is. This drama looks like it's going to be very good. I can't wait for more episodes and subtitles.

And Itoh Misaki is just adorable as usual. Yutaro seems a bit hot-headed. lol
And doesn't seems to show his feelings directly. Nice drama nontheless.

Basically about a sister and a younger bro.
bro's in med. school, sis went looking for him 'cause family business went bankrupt and the father passed away.

Yutaro (younger bro) : Basically a normal headstrong character.
Hiroko (Itoh Misaki) : hate to say it, but she plays a rather innocent and dumb characther. but still as pretty as always.

if you ask me, it's drama + comedy.

Episode 4 brought in some mystery for the series. We see Kitamura-san visiting someone in the hospita l( Kitamura Taichi - a guy name ) in the hospital, maybe that'll give us an idea to what her loan is about(medical bills?) and also reason for repeatedly turning down that aho who is always hitting on her. Then the fact that Hiroko has a child, yeah, it's wild... I'm sure it's not her blood-child though.. Probably adopted or something. Great comedic drama.

I'm enjoying this series.

I've only seen the first two episodes so far, but I'm going to keep watching as they appear unlike Densha Otoko where I waited for the series to finish before watching it. Hiroko's personality is quite a bit different from Saori/Hermes', that's for sure.

But how on earth is she going to come up with 30,000,000 yen?

especially when (i've only seen ep 01) one of the other hostesses told mihiro not to speak with mr taniguchi?

If I remember correctly, she made 30,000 from the cabaret and her side jobs and borrowed 300,000 from her cabaret boss. She's still 29,970,000 in the hole.

Episode 5 was hilarious. I loved it when Ai-chan told Yutaro to not leave his pornos where a kid could get them

And now we also know that Kitamura-san has a child...that's interesting..or maybe its her sibling or something. Which could be the reason why she has a bigass loan to payoff as well. Interesting that she likes Yutaro tho. And for the record, I think Hiroko has started to show some depth and not just be the spontaneous airhead that she was in the first couple of episodes. Although I must say she is rather comfortable with her body around men

She's tried to get out of the shower naked in front of her brother once and asked the brother's mentor to undress her...

Gee smartass, you're in a discussion thread that's written in... Gee, it's in English!!! And that spoiler tab was put in the response tab to be used for that purpose. So people who haven't seen a particular ep or what-not can participate in the thread without having to worry about seeing spoilers.

Or is it your view that ONLY the people who speak Japanese and have watched the latest ep out should be able to participate in the thread without worrying about seeing something about an ep they haven't watched yet?
