Got this from the J-Dorama forum:
The Most Ideal Onscreen Film Couple - Tamaki Hiroshi and Ueno Juri Places First
Source: Huanqiu
Translated by: sparkles_n15 @ asianfanatics.net
Japanese film entertainment news show MTV SCREEN and cinemacafe jointly created a poll for during the New Years holiday, titled "Who is the most ideal onscreen film couple?" The first place went to Tamaki Hiroshi and Ueno Juri from Nodame Cantabile.
How it is possible that the talented conductor and the 'hentai' musician could be everyone's most ideal couple? Voters expressed their opinions: "Their strengths and weaknesses complement each other", "They're very compatible together", "They look natural standing beside each other". It seems people aren't only expressing their thoughts from seeing them on screen, but in real life as well.
In second place was Inoue Mao and Okada Masaki, playing a pair of young lovers in the film Boku no Hatsukoi wo, Kimi ni Sasagu. Their roles in the movie left deep impressions on viewers. It seems like their height difference was only a minor setback, as many people still commented on them being the "ideal couple" and "perfect together".
As well, from the film BANDAGE, Akanishi Jin and Kitano Kii placed sixth on the list.

Hi Yukinon,Yukinon wrote:It doesn't matter, thank you I was curious to know if the drama+the 2 films cover the entire story or if it's necessary to pick up the storyline from the manga to see the endbmwracer wrote: Hmm, I don't know: I've never read the manga.
The whole Nodame Cantabile live action production (i.e the 11 episode TV dorama, 2 part SP, and now the 2 movies) covers the manga, though some plot points are excluded.
The 11-ep dorama follows Chiaki+Nodame story when they are in Japan, that would be up to manga volume 9 or 10, I think. The 2 part SP covers the manga up to volume 15 - 16, and the movies cover the rest.
OmegaWeltall, thank you very much!
So the entire live production covers the story completely. I'm glad for this since I think that a manga/novel about music can be more entertaining if you can also listen to the music they refer to
I'm about to finish the second epi and omg it's pure genius (yeah I know I'm at fault for being so late but I'm trying to make up)

Tamaki is in HK right now & will be attending JSG Awards Show tonite, will be watching it live on TV.
Edited: Tamaki performed "Slow Time", it was pretty lively, kinda like it. He was very polite even though the other presenters make as ass of themselves mixing cantonese with Japanese. He was kinda baffle at first at their broken Japanese.
OT~

No download available: That was a theatrical movie... I wouldn't expect the DVD to show up in stores until late Spring or early Summer... After the release of Movie 2 in theaters.felixj wrote:where i can get the download for "Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score" that already aired in december?! :-?
The 2009 versions of the SP releases have added (and deleted) footage to blend them in with Movie 1 and 2.also, when i searching the nodame cantabile torrent, i saw there are "Nodame Cantabile Special Lesson 1 - 2nd Night & 1st Night", and "Nodame Cantabile in Europe SP1 & SP2 (2009 Version)", what is the difference between this two?!
And no subs.
I have not watched the new footage yet, holding out until the movies are out. But that is indeed odd, maybe she had a bad hair day and they fixed it with a wig?bmwracer wrote:+1.Sesam wrote:(.. if only someone would sub them )
If you've seen the new footage, it's rather obvious that Juri-chan is wearing a wig for some reason.....?

I thought maybe she cut her hair for some new project, but recent news footage shows her with her own hair and it wasn't cut one bit.... Curious.

Which means her next role will need her to have a longer hair.bmwracer wrote: I thought maybe she cut her hair for some new project, but recent news footage shows her with her own hair and it wasn't cut one bit.... Curious.
The new footage from the SP was shot quite at the end of the movie filming (when her hair was already too long for Nodame), which is why she need a wig.
Rumour's saying it will be out before the movie II (kouhen) is up in the cinema.felixj wrote:will the movie release to a DVD?! any news regarding this?!

Ueno Juri &Tamaki Hiroshi Arrive in Hong Kong Causing Chaos at the Airport
After filming the popular drama Nodame Cantabile, Ueno Juri and Tamaki Hiroshi have once again teamed up for the movie version, reprising their roles as 'Nodame' and 'Chiaki Sempai'. Yesterday the two stars arrived in Hong Kong to promote their new film. With their raising popularity, they caused quite a commotion at the airport. Ueno, who is on her first promotional visit to Hong Kong, was very affectionate and shook hands with her fans. She seemed to steal attention away from Tamaki with her friendly nature.
Once a rumoured couple, Ueno and Tamaki seem like they have a close relationship with each other. They were laughing and chatting away when they arrived yesterday afternoon. At one point in time, Tamaki said something to Ueno, which caused her to 'retaliate' by hitting him. Both were dressed very casually and wore hats. Tamaki even wore sandals. The two specially came from Japan to promote Nodame Cantabile Saishu Gakusho ~ Zenpen. Today (Sunday), they will be attending a meet and greet session as well as the screening for their film.
There were originally 30 fans waiting at the airport for their arrival. However, fans sparked interest for dozens of onlookers. Aside from other travelers and visitors to Hong Kong, there were even airport staff that were curious about the commotion. By the time Ueno and Tamaki left the restricted area, there were well over a hundred onlookers that gathered at the arrivals, making it an incredibly chaotic scene.
Approximately 45 minutes after their flight landed, Ueno and Tamaki stepped out of the restricted area accompanied by more than ten staff members and security personnel, who directed them towards the airport parking lot. Ueno and Tamaki graciously stopped to allow the media to take photos. Tamaki even accepted a bouquet of flowers and small presents from his fans. Ueno appeared very friendly and kept waving and shaking hands with everyone. Tamaki however, seem more reserved but still had a smile on his face. At the end, it took them about 15 minutes to get to the parking lot. They left in two vehicles that were arranged by their company to take them to their hotel.

Tamaki Hiroshi Reveals He Received Valentine's Chocolates from Ueno Juri
The stars of the Japanese drama Nodame Cantabile took Hong Kong by storm yesterday when they arrived to promote their new movie. Both actors received a warm reception from Hong Kong fans. Tamaki Hiroshi later revealed his close relationship with Ueno Juri by saying he received chocolates from her on Valentine's Day!
Tamaki and Ueno specially made the visit to Hong Kong to promote their new film. Yesterday they appeared in Kowloon Bay for an event to promote Nodame Cantabile Saishu Gakusho ~ Zenpen. There were over a thousand spectators that gathered at the venue, packing the place to the brim. Yesterday also happened to be the Lantern Festival (the 15th day of the Lunar New Year known as 'Chinese Valentine's Day'). After collaborating numerous times as an onscreen couple, the pair were also fortunate to celebrate this 'Valentine's Day' together in HK. The organizers gave them a matching pair of teddy bears to mark the occasion. Both Tamaki and Ueno rang the gong to wish for the box office success of their new movie.
When asked how they spent their Valentine's Day? Ueno replied: "Usually in Japan it's the girls who write love letters and send chocolates to men. On White Day (March 14th), they'll wait and see if they get chocolates in return." At that time, Tamaki revealed, "I had to work on Valentine's Day, but I received chocolates from Ueno." The entire crowd erupted in cheers. Tamaki laughed and continued, "There's two types of chocolates. One is the friendly type and the other is the real type. The ones I received were the friendly type."
Later on, Ueno divulged the ending of the movie. She said that in the first part there is a bit of a bump in their relationship, but they patch things up in the second part to give the pair a happy ending. Tamaki quickly broke in and asked the audience to watch the movie. The movie was filmed across many cities in Europe. Ueno said she liked Czech Republic and Vienna, while Tamaki agreed that Prague had gorgeous countryside scenery.

With any type of luck, Toho will apply English subs to the two movies and save us from having to wait for SARS.

Well, if they're playing the movie in Hong Kong and Singapore, where English is used quite a bit, there may be a chance...HypnoSurf22 wrote:^ If Toho studios had a clue they would. I'm sure they would easily double maybe triple the dvd sales with all of us english speaking Nodame fans.
I highly doubt it though.
And there was the talk about Cannes a while back.....

The 2009 and original release in 2008 have different scenes... The 2009 version is supposed to provide more continuity with the two theater movies.cuatro wrote:im new in nodame world, can someone answer me something, i have previously downloaded the series ( i very much like it) and the sp but its the 2009 version so its raw, i just want to know if its the same to the earlier release of the sp or is this a totally different sp? and is anybody subbing this version thx
And to date, there are no subs for the 2009 SP.
