The more correct term would be "sensitive."

I finished watching the Special Episodes!
Initially, i had a bad feeling when I watched SP: Ep 2.
Chiaki leaves Nodame for a 3 months concert ... and the entry of Son Rui. seeing Nodame's sad expression at One Night Kiss bar[?] i wonder if our favourite couple will be alright or not. i was worried whether they will progess or not. of course, it was neat that Chiaki gave her his apartment key
i was relieved when Chiaki thinks of her in a few scenes; especially in the jewellery store? He remembers Nodame's words about how she wants a ring. And he bought a necklace instead.
I also feel for Nodame's struggle in the music academy and her need to get used to Paris (food, language, where the culture is different from her own) ... i thought that was well done. her struggle and her finding a reason to play the piano. when she was wronged by Chiaki, I'm glad she ran after him. Nodame has strong determination ^_^ it was filled with emotion when she jumped on Chiaki at the pavement and broke down, "I am serious! Just when i think i get closer to you ... you moved away ... your music too." something like that. and the disbelieving Chiaki went, "Why am I the one changing my attitude?" lol.
I really enjoy this drama. Tho' i wish they would show Chiaki giving her the necklace at the Garden.

I was going to say "Ha! I wish!" but that would have been creepy.
Juri-chan's face isn't actually that unique or different, but I guess that's what makes how we adore her so much so spectacular. Talent + personality + looks is a tough combination to beat.

Nah.
Just showing that she was wearing the charm was enough... The rest was left to the imagination of the viewer.
I'm sure everyone who saw the charm had a big smile and said, "Ah, he DID give it to her..."

Considering how Chiaki seems so awkward in being affectionate to Nodame-chan, I'm sure he was glad the scene was played out exactly as it was (with some parts not being shown).

butting in..
I absolutely adored the "transition period" of Tamaki's behavior towards Nodame. I think it's one of those things that also got lots of viewers hooked. Just like that hug in the last episode of the series, too!
I think it's cute that he realised all these thru Jean and Yuko.
It;s one of those things that let the viewers think, "He did that! He actually did that!"
Only because Chiaki has "pushed" Nodame away since the beginning of the series.

Everyone seems to love those love-hate relationships (but not the Last Friends type ) and the romantic tension that exists from them...
A lot of times you know how it's gonna end up, yet you watch because you want to see how it happens... "It's not the final destination, but the journey that makes it exciting..."

so glad that this thread is still up and running.
I hope this manga-talk is appropriate and not off-topic.
Too bad that Ravel's Piano Concerto is taken already. Nodame is going to perform Chopin's Piano Concerto no. 1 in London with Milch conducting.
I have a hunch that there's going to be another live-action adaption (likely another SP) of the remaining lessons of the manga, considering the success of both SP and previous live-action, and the rumour that Ninomiya will complete this manga less than a year.
Is that why, Juri-chan is growing her hair back to Nodame's? let's just hope so... I just have to see Nodame performing piano concerto!

He said he was the dad of the family that Juri-chan lived with in Cornwall... He was searching the 'net for more info about Juri-chan and found my blog... He was asking if I had more info about her and her movies/dramas.

That's a possibility...lol. But this feels true to me. It's not hard to believe that he'd look up for Juri info on the net, out of curiosity. I know I'd do the same. Juri most likely left a lasting impression on his family.

When I was studying in Japan, a supermarket near my apartment had a similar sale during Sunday afternoons/early evenings. If you watch carefully, you'll see that there are a number of scenes that are slightly different/added on the DVD compared to the broadcast version that's posted here at D-Addicts......

The one I can think of at the moment is near the beginning of SP Lesson 1: In the broadcast version, when the two arrive in Paris, the scene immediately switches to the inside of the restaurant... In the DVD, it shows Nodame and Chiaki walking to the restaurant, with Nodame singing and semi-dancing as they approach the front door.
A minor deleted detail, but really cute.
